Chapter 124

The memories made me look at the scene in front of me, making it even more glaring, and my expression became colder as a result.

After the dizziness subsided, I propped myself up and prepared to leave. My wolf urged me to escape this stifling atmosphere of emotional turmoil.

Ayla, who had been clinging to Lucian’s side and shedding tears, caught a glimpse of me.

She suddenly stood up, her eyes turning red, and rushed over with big strides.

Grabbing my arm, she angrily exclaimed, “Seren, are you satisfied now?”

“I know I shouldn’t have won the first prize in the design competition, and I understand that you are angry with me about that. But if you want to revenge, you can aim at me. But why did you send such a bad guy to kill my daughter?”

“If Lucian hadn’t answered my call and come, Willow and I would have died! Seren, how could you be so vicious?” Ayla shouted at me, making

me look like a vicious woman.

“Where is the evidence?” I let go of Ayla’s hand and coldly retorted.

My wolf bared its teeth, the scent of anger sharp and potent.

“Evidence? Do we still need evidence? Who else would know this place other than the three of us?” Ayla accused me with red eyes. The finger of blame pointed directly at me.

She firmly believed that Lucian, who deeply loved her, would choose to trust her between me and her.

“Yes, according what you said, you should be one of the suspects.” I spoke in a sarcastic tone.

Ayla’s pupils shook fiercely. She looked at Lucian with tears in her eyes, waiting for his response.

But Lucian remained silent.

His wolf was conflicted, caught between his love for Ayla and his growing awareness of my pain.
