Chapter 156
Clans 10 Cams By Check-
Ragnar visibly startled; his pupils constricted.
Fenris seized the opportunity to free his hand from Ragnar’s grasp.
My pupils shook violently; I used every ounce of self-control to keep my eyes open as Lucian kissed me.
But I turned my head, avoiding his lips, and hissed, “Go… away!”
Half my body was in Ragnar’s car; anger surged through me.
My hands weakly pushed against Lucian’s chest, creating distance.
He leaned in, whispering in my ear, a voice only we could hear, “Seren, did you want me to do ‘more’ in front of Ragnar>”
It sounded like a lover’s whisper, but it sent a bone-chilling chill down my spine.
I understood the threat.
My wolf snarled, warning me. He was serious; this man was unhinged. I couldn’t risk it.
I gave up resisting, letting him pull me back into his arms. Ragnar hadn’t heard Lucian’s words, but he saw my lack of resistance, loosening his grip on Fenris’s arm.
His gaze remained on me, waiting. He wouldn’t let Lucian take me if I was unwilling.
Lucian, noticing this, swiftly scooped me up, shielding me from Ragnar’s view, and strode towards the Rolls-Royce Ghost.
Fenris had opened the back door. I was settled inside. The car door closed, blocking Ragnar’s sight.
As soon as we were in the car, Lucian instructed Fenris, “Go to the Pack’s infirmary.”
At the infirmary, he wrapped me in his coat.
He visibly relaxed upon arrival. The doctors were waiting. The antidote was administered.
It wouldn’t take effect immediately.
Back in the ward, I fussed at Lucian for half an hour before calming down.
I’d been tormenting him, but my strength was exhausted. After the antidote took effect, I fell into a deep sleep in his arms.
“How could she be so annoying!” Lucian’s eyes were dark as night. He harshly pinched my cheek, fire in his eyes. He squeezed hard, leaving a deep red mark. I woke with a cry of pain.
