Chapter 35
I had taken a few steps when I heard the door open.
Instinctively, I turned and saw a figure at the door, holding something.
It was Lucian.
I tried to open my mouth to tell him to get out, but I was so dizzy I couldn’t. Everything was spinning around me, and even Lucian looked like a bunch of blurry, double images.
I gently shook my head to clear my vision. Instead, I stumbled and fell forward.
I fell into Lucian’s arms.
1, all tipsy and not my usual sharp self, was super mellow.
I leaned softly against Lucian’s chest. My breath smelled of red wine and my faint body scent.
We had sex many times before after we formed the bond.
Lucian’s Julian’s apple bobbed, and there was a flicker of desire in his eyes.
I was sprawled out on the sofa chair, looking uneasy. I furrowed my brow, let out a soft moan, and shifted a little. My loose nightgown had twisted, baring my smooth skin.
One fleeting glance was all it took for Lucian’s breath to hitch, and in that instant, a glimmer of desire ignited in his eyes.
His gaze towards me shifted, becoming intense.
The bag of medicine in his hand fell. Without hesitation, Lucian gently grasped my chin and leaned in to claim a kiss.
He kissed me hard and roughly. My breath was interrupted by the kiss.
Intoxicated, my mind went blank, rendered incapable of coherent thought.
My body’s instincts took over.
I was very familiar with Lucian’s scent. The Alpha’s scent was dominance distilled-dark amber, iron, and storm-charged air. It clung like a claim, flooding senses with primal authority. Pack members bowed instinctively; rivals bared throats or fled. Unmistakable. Unforgettable.
Over the past five years, we had sex many times. My body acted on instinct, ignoring my rational mind. I ceased my resistance and, as I had before, allowed Lucian to have his way.
My acquiescence caused the desire in Lucian’s eyes to intensify even further.
Lucian’s lips pressed harder against mine, his passion evident in every movement;
His hands, firm and possessive, explored my body with a thrilling urgency.
I had clearly lost weight. Lucian’s eyebrows knit together slightly, a clear indication of his dissatisfaction with my noticeably smaller breasts.
Before, he was always into my body. Slim, but I had a noticeably curvy chest.
The room was cozy and warm, with a sense of closeness in the air that made everything feel comfortable.
His bony hand held my calf, his fingers pressing on my wound.
Pain hit me. I couldn’t help but cry out, “It hurts.”
But when Lucian’s lips met mine, it came out more like a soft moan.
Lucian’s breath caught.
His eyes suddenly glinted with desire. His Alpha eyes burned with raw desire-gold-flecked and predatory. They pinned me with primal hunger, promising both pleasure and possession. A silent challenge: Run. Or surrender. Either way, he’d taste me first.
That cry of pain reminded him of the night five years ago.
I lay in his arms, clinging to him, continuously begging in his ear, “It hurts.”
