I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 374

Several business proposals were scattered across the mahogany desk, one of them visibly bent from being thrown.

"Mr. Hayes," Henry said cautiously.

"What the hell is this?" Silas snarled, slamming the file down again. "Three days, and this is the garbage proposal you bring me? If you can't even handle a basic task, what use are you?"

Henry kept his head bowed, not daring to utter a word in his defense.

He waited until Silas's breathing leveled out before speaking up.

"Mr. Hayes... I had the private investigator snap a few photos today. You might want to take a look."

Silas froze.

"What photos?"

Henry handed his phone over.

Silas took it, his eyes narrowing at the screen. Finn and Sienna were sitting shoulder to shoulder at a cheap plastic table. Finn was holding a chipped bowl, while Sienna casually added more chili to her food.

The small table barely separated them, their proximity radiating an undeniable, natural intimacy.

He swiped to the next photo. Finn was crouched outside her bathroom, scrubbing a filthy AC filter...

Silas stared at the images for a long, heavy moment in absolute silence.

Henry added softly, "Mr. Fletcher is also cleaning her apartment and fixing her appliances..."

"He's certainly playing a different angle," Silas muttered coldly.

He tossed the phone back onto the desk, refusing to look at the photos a second time.

Walking over to the floor-to-ceiling window, he stared out at the distant city skyline.

Finn Fletcher could crouch on the floor and fix an AC. He could eat garbage street food.

But Silas never would.

It wasn't just about pride; he found the actions entirely beneath him.

To Silas, such gestures were cheap.

Why would anyone value services that could easily be bought with money?

Silas shook his head. Sienna was simply too young and naive to tell the difference between gold and dirt.

He would just have to show her who the right choice was, and what real value looked like.

He had his own methods.

Outside, the Metropolis skyline was steadily fading into twilight.

Silas turned back around, looking at Henry.
