I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 435

"Hello, Ms. Beaumont. Please report to the Office of the Inspector General at three-thirty this afternoon."

Sasha Beaumont's fingers tightened around her phone, trying desperately to keep her voice steady.

"Why do I need to go in? Is there a problem? Haven't the results already been published?"

The voice on the other end remained entirely devoid of emotion.

"Ma'am, we just ask that you cooperate."

After hanging up, Sasha looked completely shell-shocked.

Sebastian and Sylvester immediately leaned in.

"What happened?"

Sasha waved them off in pure frustration.

"Don't ask."

She grabbed her car keys and stormed straight out of The Zen Grill.

Sebastian and Sylvester exchanged bewildered glances.

One's knee was throbbing, and the other's arm was aching.

They hadn't gained the upper hand in that fight at all; in fact, they had taken a severe beating.

They had both thrown punches just to stand up for her, yet she hadn't even spared them a single glance or asked where they were hurt.

Neither of the men said a word, but it would be a lie to say they weren't bitterly disappointed.

At three o'clock sharp, Sienna Sterling walked right into the Office of the Inspector General.

The desk clerk sat at her workstation, not even bothering to look up.

Sienna sat down and placed her meticulously organized documents on the desk.

"Hello, I'm here to file a report regarding the interview scores."

The clerk glanced up, her eyes skimming over the documents without making any move to take them.

"The scores have already been officially posted. If you have a dispute, you have to follow protocol. Fill out a form and go home to wait for a notification."

Her tone was polite, but it was the kind of politeness designed to create distance.
