Finn didn't make a sound.
Sienna rose from the water, droplets cascading down the length of her body.
She walked right up to Finn and wrapped her soaked arms around him, pressing her face flat against his chest.
"It's okay. Whatever it is, we face it together."
Finn pulled her tight, resting his chin on the top of her wet hair.
"I just didn't want to upset you."
Sienna tilted her head back, framing his jaw with her hands, and pressed a soft, cool kiss to his lips.
"You won't. Tell me."
Finn took a jagged breath.
"It was Chloe Cross. York is sick. He's at Silas's hospital."
He looked down into her eyes.
"I shipped them out of the country before. I set them up with a house, staff, and a trust fund large enough to comfortably last them the rest of their lives. But they came back."
"York wants to see you," Sienna finished for him. "You need to go to the hospital?"
Finn searched her face.
"...Can I?"
"I'm coming with you."
By the time they arrived at Mercy International Hospital, it was already the dead of night.
Chloe Cross was sitting rigid on a waiting room bench. The second she saw Finn, she lunged forward.
Her eyes immediately welled with tears, practically throwing herself at him.
"Finn, I'm begging you, please don't send us away again..."
Finn sidestepped her completely, his voice devoid of any warmth.
"How is York?"
The physical rejection hit Chloe like a slap. Her voice trembled with a manufactured sob.
"He misses you so much. He's just been calling your name on repeat, he..."
She stopped dead, her eyes finally locking onto the figure standing just behind him.
Sienna stood quietly under the harsh fluorescent lights of the corridor.
Chloe's expression warped instantly.
"What the hell are you doing here? Nobody wants you here. Get out!"
