Sienna waited nervously outside the prison gates.

The heavy iron doors screeched open and slammed shut with a sickening thud.

When she saw Finn's face, her stomach plummeted.

She rushed toward him, but before she could say a word, Finn slowly looked up.

His eyes were entirely vacant. It was as if a thick layer of fog had blanketed his pupils. It took several terrifying seconds for his gaze to finally focus on her face.

He stared at her, his lips parting, but no sound came out.

He stumbled forward, his knees buckling slightly.

Sienna caught him instantly, wrapping one arm tightly around his waist and gripping his bicep to keep him upright.

"What happened?" she asked, her voice dropping to a panicked whisper. "What did Yolanda say?"

Finn didn't answer right away.

His breathing was jagged and heavy. It took a long time before he finally regained his composure.

"I won't believe a word she says," he muttered hoarsely. He paused, his jaw tightening. "But I'm going to find out the truth myself."

Sienna didn't press him.

They got into the car. Finn looked completely fine on the outside, but he just sat there, forgetting to even buckle his seatbelt.

"I'll drive," Sienna said softly, leaning over.

"It's fine," Finn replied mechanically.

Sienna ignored him, stretching across the console to buckle his belt for him.

While she was pressed against him, she pressed a soft, lingering kiss to his cheek.

"I'm here. I'll always be here with you," she whispered, her gentle voice acting as a soothing balm to his fractured mind.

Finn's eyes reddened.

"Okay," he breathed out, firmly gripping Sienna's soft hand.

Sienna didn't pull away.

She stayed leaning toward him, her thumb stroking his knuckles.
