I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 460

"Finn." Grant's voice echoed from behind him, carrying a pathetic, hesitant rasp Finn had never heard before. "Do you believe me?"

Finn didn't look back.

He paused for a second, his voice completely dead.

"It doesn't matter anymore."

The heavy wooden door clicked shut behind him.

Finn walked down the long corridor, crossed the grand foyer, and pushed open the massive front doors of the Fletcher Manor.

The freezing midnight wind hit his face, carrying the bitter bite of autumn. He stood on the marble steps and cast one final glance at the sprawling, brilliantly lit mansion behind him.

He had grown up here. This fortress held thirty years of his memories.

But suddenly, all those memories felt like a cheap painting hanging on a wall. He had stared at it for decades, and tonight, he could finally tear it down.

He turned around and got into his car.

He had to keep moving forward. The rest of his life belonged to Sienna. He was going to hold her hand and build a future that meant something.

The next morning, Sienna woke up to the sight of Finn sleeping peacefully beside her.

His brow was much more relaxed than usual, his breathing deep and steady.

She watched him for a while, the horrific revelations of last night replaying in her mind.

She felt a sudden wave of panic. Had she burdened him too much by telling him? Could he actually handle the crushing weight of his past?

As she lay there worrying, Finn opened his eyes.

Seeing her, he immediately reached out and pulled her tight against his chest.

Sienna pressed her cheek to his heart, listening to the strong, steady rhythm.

She tilted her head to study his face. He looked infinitely better than he had the day before. The crippling exhaustion was gone from his eyes, and a faint smile played on his lips.

"How are you feeling today?" she asked softly.

"Perfect," he murmured. "Better than I have in a long time."
