The hall plunged back into absolute silence. The people who had been defending the Beaumonts just moments ago abruptly snapped their mouths shut.
The crystal chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling illuminated every face, leaving no room for anyone to hide.
Sylvester stood by the table, his arrogant facade completely crumbling into awkward dread.
Sebastian knew exactly what was going on and didn't dare utter another word in his sister's defense.
The rest of the Beaumont family exchanged terrified, humiliated glances, painfully aware of the catastrophic loss of face.
But Sasha slowly lifted her head.
Her eyes were still red, brimming with fake tears.
But her lips slowly twisted into a deeply unsettling, deranged smile.
She even took a step forward, locking her eyes on Finn.
"Finn, you're really something. Waving around a few pieces of scrap paper and a fabricated story, trying to lock me up. Are you trying to silence me before I get a chance to speak?"
Finn stared at her. She looked entirely unrecognizable—unhinged and absolutely psychotic.
Sasha let out a sharp laugh, the curve of her smile growing more manic by the second.
"Did you really want me to expose all your dirty laundry in front of all these elders?"
Her voice suddenly dropped, taking on a venomous, chilling edge.
She whipped her head around, her crazy eyes scanning the packed room as she raised her voice to a screech.
"I didn't want to say anything! I wanted us to part ways peacefully. I was willing to swallow my pride and suffer in silence just to preserve the Fletcher family's dignity. But since you refuse to give me an out, Finn, I have no reason to hold back."
Finn's brow furrowed tightly, utterly baffled by her delusion.
Sasha suddenly spun toward Sienna, her voice piercing the air.
"Sienna is the actual homewrecker! She's the third party! Finn was with Chloe, and you just shoved your way in and stole him! And now you have the nerve to sit there playing the innocent victim? Why do you think Chloe jumped off that bridge? Because you backed her into a corner! Why else would a mother take her own life and risk her child's? Because you stole her baby's father!"
The entire room inhaled sharply.
Glasses were lowered. People nudged each other under the tables, whispering frantically.
Sienna had never expected Sasha to spiral into total madness like this.
She remained perfectly calm, staring at Sasha's flushed, hysterical face. She didn't offer a single word of defense. She just sat quietly, waiting to see how far this trainwreck would go.
Sasha seemed fueled by the silence. Her voice pitched even higher as she turned to Grant.
