I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 528

Maya looked up at Silas.

"Dad, why do I hear Auntie crying?"

Silas's brow instantly pulled into a hard scowl.

He stormed over to the doorway, cast one look inside the hospital room, then whipped his head toward Finn, his voice dropping to a dangerous growl.

"What the hell is going on in there? And to think I trusted you."

Finn opened his mouth to explain, but before he could get a single word out, Silas shoved the door open and marched inside.

Silas stood in the center of the room, staring as Felicia held York tightly while the boy buried his face in her chest, calling her "Mom."

He completely froze.

"Felicia..."

Felicia looked up, the tear tracks on her cheeks still fresh, but her voice was shockingly calm.

"Silas, whatever you want to say, we can talk about it at home. Right now, I'm going to feed York."

York, who had aggressively refused to eat for anyone else, was perfectly obedient for Felicia.

He was practically an angel, a complete 180 from his earlier tantrums.

Whatever Felicia asked him to eat, he ate.

Finn watched in sheer disbelief. York despised carrots and broccoli, but right now, as Felicia fed them to him, he was eating like it was his favorite meal in the world.

Sienna gave Finn's sleeve a quick tug and shot him a look.

She pulled him out into the hall.

"What are you thinking?"

"Felicia just went through the trauma of losing her baby. I absolutely refuse to put this on her shoulders. York can't..."

"What if she actually wants to do it?" Sienna cut in.

Finn blinked, stunned.

"Why would she?"

Sienna met his gaze.

"I understand where you're coming from. You don't want to burden her anymore, and that's noble. But you're forgetting that she gets to make her own choices. You need to respect her agency."

Finn processed that for a moment.

"I hadn't considered that she might actually want to, but... it just seems so unlikely."

Sienna pulled him back toward the door.
