I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 557

After returning from Sunset Isle, Finn immediately started looking for a house.

He took Sienna to three sales offices for the most premium developments in Metropolis. They were all massive single-floor penthouses with private elevator access, fully furnished and move-in ready.

The communities were planted with fully grown, transplanted ginkgo and camphor trees. The lawns were evergreen year-round, and the central water features used advanced filtration, keeping the water so crystal clear that the river stones at the bottom were perfectly visible.

The floor plan was a massive five-thousand-square-foot penthouse with eleven-foot ceilings, boasting floor-to-ceiling windows that faced the spectacular Metropolis skyline.

Sienna stood in the model apartment, the imported Italian herringbone wood floors feeling warm and silent beneath her feet, while the recessed ceiling lights bathed the entire space in a soft, even glow.

She glanced at the string of numbers on the price list—thousands of dollars per square foot.

She did some quick mental math, then closed her eyes.

Five thousand square feet. Ten million dollars.

Ten million dollars could literally buy an entire street back in her hometown.

"How about this one? Do you like it?" Finn asked, turning to her.

She lowered her voice.

"It's too expensive."

Finn stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows and took her hand.

"Don't worry about the price. Just pick one you like."

Sienna shook her head.

It was impossible to choose; she had never lived in such a luxurious place in her entire life.

She felt the three-thousand-square-foot apartment at The Belvedere was already perfect. The location, the natural light, the property management—she couldn't find a single flaw.

"The Belvedere is great," she said. "We don't need to move."

Finn reached up to tuck a stray lock of hair behind her ear, his fingers tracing lightly from the curve of her ear down to her jaw.

"We're newlyweds, so of course we need a new home. I can't let you settle for less."

Sienna wanted to argue that she wasn't settling at all, but Finn had already turned to the architectural model in the sales office, pointing to the building closest to the Health Commission headquarters.

It was the crown jewel of the entire development.

Located on a middle floor, the natural light was perfect, unobscured by the front rows, offering a sweeping view of the distant city skyline.

His tone was absolute.

"We'll take this one."

The sales manager was extremely attentive and immediately brought out the contract.

"Whose name will be on the deed?"

Sienna was about to say his name, considering he was paying for it.

"Hers," Finn spoke first.

He slid Sienna's ID card across the desk.

Sienna was stunned. When did he even take her ID?

"Wait, what are you doing? I didn't pay a single cent. Don't put my name on it." She reached over to grab her ID.
