I Walked Away And He Lost His Mind (Zephyra and Steven) novel Chapter 847

Rachel’s voice was choked with sobs. “Zephyra! Help me! I can’t go with them.”

I hadn’t eaten properly for over a week, and my body was weak.

Even together, the two of us were no match for the man. Seeing that I was about to be dragged along with her, I bent down, snatched a flashlight from the floor, and switched it on, shining it directly into the man's eyes.

He let out a low growl and released Rachel. We stumbled back a few steps before regaining our footing.

When the stocky man saw this, he started forward to grab Rachel again, but I quickly pulled her behind me, shielding her.

He glared at me, furious. “I’m warning you! Don’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong! Or we’ll take you, too!”

“Calm down. My friend has a fiery temper, and you don’t want a death on your hands, do you? Just let me make one phone call! You can have as much money as you want.”

“Besides, if anything happens, I’ll cover for you. What’s the big deal?” George said with confidence.

The taller man nodded in agreement. “I’m with you!”

My heart clenched. I waved the flashlight in my hand. “Don’t come any closer!”

The stocky man laughed coldly. “What are you going to do? Knock us out with a flashlight? Go on! Hit me right here!”

He bent over, deliberately sticking his head out and taunting me.

“I hear you’re pregnant. You should just stay out of it. If you lose the baby, you’ll have nowhere to go crying… Ah!”

The moment the words left his mouth, I swung the flashlight with all my strength and brought it down on his head…
