"Eileen!" Victoria roared. She stormed over, violently snatched the phone from Eileen's hand, and locked the screen instantly.
"We are leaving. Right now."
The second Eileen brought up the photos, Victoria looked at Sophie and the horrific truth finally clicked into place.
How could she have been so incredibly blind? Completely brainwashed by her daughter's frantic accusations, she had failed to realize that while Sophie's eyes and brows were identical to Sarah's, her straight, defined nose was an exact replica of Harold's.
This was a nightmare she was absolutely unwilling to face.
As long as Sarah kept her mouth shut, she could play dumb. She could pretend this reality simply didn't exist.
"Why should we? This is clearly that vixen's fault! She and her mother are both trash! They teamed up to—"
Smack! A brutal slap echoed through the room. Eileen stood frozen, utterly horrified to realize the hand that had just struck her belonged to Victoria.
"Mom... are you insane? I'm your daughter..."
"We are leaving right now." Victoria completely abandoned any attempt to comfort Eileen; her only priority was shutting her up and dragging her out the door.
"I am not leaving! I am not letting that vixen get away with this!"
Eileen thrashed wildly, ripping herself out of Victoria's grip, and lunged furiously at Sophie. She had sworn to slap and kick Sophie today, and she hadn't landed a single hit yet.
Before Eileen could even plant her feet, Sophie shot up and delivered a savage slap directly onto the cheek Victoria had just hit.
This strike was infinitely more brutal than Victoria's. Five bright red fingerprints overlapped the previous mark, and Eileen's right cheek instantly ballooned.
Two months of intensive boxing training had significantly amplified her punching power. If she had used a closed fist, she easily would have split Eileen's lip.
"I didn't want to see you people, not because I'm afraid of you, but because you absolutely disgust me." Sophie was completely fearless now. She no longer cared what kind of impression she was leaving on Gillian.
She had already been dragged through the mud and humiliated. All she wanted now was basic justice.
Eileen completely snapped. She had come here to humiliate and destroy Sophie, yet she was the one walking away with two bruised cheeks.
