Chapter 177
Sebastien’s POV
I stared at my computer screen, scrolling through the comments section beneath Catherine Stone’s viral video. The footage showed Iris slapping her mother, conveniently edited to remove any context that would explain her actions. My jaw clenched involuntarily as I watched the
view count tick upward at an alarming rate.
“This isn’t natural,” I muttered to myself, eyes narrowing at the analytics. The spread pattern is too aggressive for organic sharing.”
Someone was boosting this video deliberately, making sure it reached as many eyes as possible. The comment section was already filling with vicious attacks on Iris–people who knew nothing about her or the situation making cruel judgments based on thirty seconds of manipulated
footage.
My fingers drummed against the polished surface of my desk as a familiar protective instinct rose within me. I didn’t need to wonder who might be behind the artificial boost. Megan’s fingerprints were all over this, even if Catherine was the visible face of the attack.
I reached for my office phone and punched the button for Daniel’s extension.
“Parker,” he answered on the first ring.
“Daniel, contact Legal immediately. I want every single malicious comment about Iris cataloged and preserved. Don’t let a single one slip through the cracks.”
“Every comment, sir?” Daniel’s voice held a note of surprise. “There must be hundreds already.”
“Every. Single. One.” I didn’t bother hiding the edge in my voice. “Anyone who thinks they can hide behind a keyboard while attacking a Grey family member needs to learn there are consequences.”
“Understood, sir. I’ll get the team on it right away.”
I hung up and turned back to my computer, beginning my own search through the most vicious commenters. My wolf stirred restlessly beneath my skin, angry at these faceless attackers. I bookmarked several accounts whose comments were particularly vile, making mental notes to have
them investigated personally.
Why the hell am I so worked up about this? I thought suddenly, pausing with my finger hovering over the mouse. Iris isn’t even using the Grey name anymore. She’s made it abundantly clear she wants nothing to do with me.
But the thought didn’t stop me from picking up the phone again and dialing the public relations department.
“Prepare an official statement,” I instructed the PR director. “Make it clear that Crescent Design has zero tolerance for disturbances on company property, and we have complete video footage of the incident. Emphasize that legal action will be taken against anyone spreading false information about our employees or the company.”
“Right away, Mr. Grey. Should we mention Mrs. Grey specifically?”
“Ms. Stone, I corrected automatically, ignoring the twinge in my chest. And no, don’t mention her by name. This is about protecting the company’s reputation, not individuals.”
Even as I said it, I knew it was a lie. This was absolutely about protecting ris.

I had just hung up when my cell phone vibrated against the desk. William’s name flashed across the screen. Shit. Of course he’d seen the video by now. The Grey pack had eyes everywhere.
“Grandfather,” I answered, keeping my voice neutral.
Have you seen what’s happening online?” William’s voice came through cold and sharp, wasting no time on pleasantries.
I’m handling it.”
“Handling it?” The old alpha’s voice rose sharply. “Iris is being dragged through the mud by that manipulative bitch, and you’re sitting in your
office handling it‘?”
