Chapter 192
‘Let go of me,‘ I said firmly. “Our marks have been dissolved. This kind of contact is inappropriate.”
His eyes were fixed on mine, determined but hazy. His body swayed again, more pronounced this time. He was clearly unwell, but his grip remained strong as he fought whatever was happening to him.
“Iris,” he managed, his voice strained. “You can’t just-”
1 yanked my arm away with all my strength, finally breaking free of his grip. “We’re done here,” I said coldly, walking away quickly.
I’d only gone a few steps when I heard a heavy thud behind me. Turning around, I saw Sebastien collapsed on the concrete floor. His fingers were partially transformed into claws, and patches of gray fur were beginning to appear along his jawline.
“Shit, I muttered. I stood frozen for a moment, torn between walking away and helping him. I disliked Sebastien for many reasons, but I couldn’t just leave an Alpha werewolf shifting in a public garage where anyone might walk in.
I rushed back to him, kneeling by his side. “Sebastien!” I hissed, slapping his face lightly. “Wake up! Control your shift!”
His skin was burning under my palm, much hotter than a werewolf’s naturally elevated temperature. “His temperature is way too high,” I thought worriedly. This wasn’t just an ordinary loss of control. Something was seriously wrong with him.
*Sebastien, you need to wake up,” I said more urgently, tapping his cheek harder. “You’re starting to transform. You have to stop it.”
His eyes fluttered open, unfocused and glowing amber. Before I could react, his hand shot up and grabbed mine with surprising strength. I tried to pull away, but his grip was like iron.
“I’m sorry,” he murmured, his words slurring. “Don’t leave… please don’t…”
I stared at him, stunned by the vulnerability in his voice. This wasn’t the cold, calculating Sebastien I knew. Whatever was happening to him was breaking down his usual walls.
“Let go, Sebastien,” I said, trying to pry his fingers off my wrist. “I need to call someone to help you.”
He didn’t release me. Instead, his other hand reached up, as if trying to touch my face, before falling back to his side.
I reached for my phone with my free hand, scrolling quickly through my contacts. There was only one person I could call in this situation. As much as I didn’t want to interact with anyone from Sebastien’s inner circle, his Beta was the only one who could handle an Alpha in
this state.
Daniel answered on the second ring, his voice professionally neutral. “Ms. Stone?”
“Parker,” I said urgently, “I’m in the underground parking garage at Crescent Design. Sebastien is here, and he’s losing control of his form.

Chapter 192
He’s partially shifting and seems to be sick or delirious. You need to come immediately before someone sees him like this.
There was a brief pause. “I’ll be there in three minutes, he replied, his tone shifting to one of alarm before the call ended.

I looked back down at Sebastien, whose condition seemed to be worsening. More fur was appearing along his hairline, and his nails had fully extended into claws–the ones gripping my hand were digging painfully into my skin.
“Sebastien, I tried again, “Daniel is coming. You need to hold on until he gets here.”
To my surprise, I felt something stirring within me–my own wolf responding to his distress. Despite everything that had happened between us, some part of me still recognized him as my former mate, and seeing him vulnerable triggered protective instincts I thought
I’d suppressed.
I heard the elevator doors open behind me and turned to see Daniel rushing toward us. He skidded to a halt several feet away, his expression shifting from urgent concern to confusion as he took in the scene–particularly the way Sebastien was clutching my hand.
