defeated, not when I knew Iris was inside. This was her doing-a calculated exclusion, her way of showing me I no longer

had a place in her life.

The petty revenge only strengthened my resolve. I moved away from the entrance, eyes scanning the mansion’s facade. Security lights illuminated the stone walls, casting long shadows across the manicured lawn. If the front door wasn’t an option, perhaps there were alternatives. The Lowell estate was large, with multiple entrances and exits. Security would be focused on the main areas, but there might be less guarded access points.

I positioned myself where I could observe the second-floor windows, trying to guess which room might be Iris’s. Light glowed from several windows, silhouettes occasionally passing by. Was she up there, preparing for her grand entrance? Did she know I was outside, denied the right to see her?

I settled against a tree at the edge of the property, my enhanced vision allowing me to keep watch over the estate. Tonight, one way or another, I would see her. She could try to shut me out of her celebration, but she couldn’t erase our connection so easily.

“Let’s see how long you can hide, Iris,” I muttered under my breath, feeling my resolve harden. “The night is still young.

Patient and determined, I would wait for my opportunity. After all, no one tells an Alpha where he can and cannot go. Especially when it concerns what’s his.
