Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 400

“Or was it purely to get revenge for me?”

Haskell’s expression was soft, his smile warm and indulgent. “What if I said that was the only reason?”

Larissa met his intense gaze and her smile blossomed. “I’d believe you. I’m worth it, after all.”

His smile deepened, and he reached out to gently stroke her hair. “That’s why I would never hesitate. If I can defend your honor, no amount of trouble is too much.”

“And what if I wanted to destroy the Lincoln family completely?” she asked, her eyes narrowing with a dangerous glint. “Of course, if they were smart enough to back off, I wouldn’t mind letting them be. They’re not as easy to deal with as Paxton’s family.”

Haskell’s voice was calm, but his words were an unbreakable vow. “We’re engaged. An attack on you is an attack on me. If they come after you, I will eliminate them.”

His gaze was unwavering. “Larissa, you are the woman I love, my future wife. If you were to kill someone, I would be the one to bury the body. I will do anything to keep you safe.”

If she killed someone, he would bury the body.

The words, spoken with such quiet conviction, resonated deep within her. A brilliant, dazzling smile lit up her face.

“Alright then, Haskell. Let’s turn Regal City upside down and tear down every family, starting with the Lincolns, who dares to stand against me.”

...

By eight that evening, the Lincoln family, buckling under the immense public pressure, issued an official statement: Lincoln Group was severing all ties with Jagger Lincoln.

[Exactly. Besides Judson Pharmaceuticals, the only other notable assets the family has are Starlight Media and Sprout Tech, and both are just getting started in Regal City. The moment Lucius decides to retaliate, the Judson businesses will be crushed.]

[Yeah, you think getting Jagger sent to prison is a victory? All it did was turn this into a fight to the death. Now the Lincolns will never back down.]

Just then, Avril received a private message from her best friend.

[Want me to kick them out?]

Avril replied: [No need. I want them to have a front-row seat when Larissa proves them all wrong. I’m inviting her to the group. Approve her request when it comes through.]
