Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 677

Larissa knew why Livia was suddenly pledging her allegiance. It was because she’d taken care of Theon and his mother, solving a problem Livia couldn’t.

Honestly, she was used to it. Many people in her organization, Nightveil included, were loyal to her because she had saved them or granted them a great favor. Livia was no different.

She didn’t refuse the offer, but she framed it in her own terms. “We’ll stick to the original conditions we discussed. When the time comes, you’ll transfer your shares of Gale Entertainment to me at a low price.”

“Of course… You are going to acquire Gale Entertainment, aren’t you?” Livia asked, a hint of hope in her voice. “I’ll be one of your artists then. I know that with you, I can finally pursue my dream of acting on my own merit, not by pleasing some man to become the actress I want to be.”

She let out a self-deprecating laugh. “To be honest, I’m useless at business. Even if Gale Entertainment were handed to me, I wouldn’t have the skill or experience to run it.”

Larissa played with a pen, spinning idly in her chair.

“Everyone has their own path,” she said with a light smile. “You don’t have to force yourself to be something you’re not. Once you’re under my company’s banner, I’ll give you the resources you need to become who you want to be.”

“Thank you, Ms. Judson. I won’t keep you,” Livia said, and tactfully ended the call.

Larissa set the pen down and glanced at her phone, seeing a message from Leopold.

[Was Theon’s death related to you?]

It was accompanied by a worried-face emoji.

She ignored it. As if she would ever discuss something so sensitive with him. He hadn’t earned that right.

“As long as you play your part and help me get back into the Judson family, it will succeed,” Paxton replied, his own eyes glinting with a fierce light.

“If you want me to trust you, you need to tell me the plan,” Josette said, her caution sharpened by her recent fall from grace. “Otherwise, I’m afraid I’ll just be another pawn for you to discard.”

Paxton shot her a look, hesitating for a moment before speaking. “…Fine. We’re in the same boat now; there’s no point in keeping secrets.”

He proceeded to lay out his entire plan.

As Josette listened, her eyes widened in disbelief. “Paxton, you’re truly ruthless. To get back into the family and reclaim the company, you’re willing to sacrifice Vivica’s life.”

Before he could respond, she continued, “But… if it means getting Larissa kicked out of the family, I’m in. Tomorrow, I’ll do as you say and call Dad to tell him I know about the Lincoln family’s plot against Judson Pharmaceuticals.”
