Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 716

Leopold was rendered speechless.

Finley, much calmer than his brother, addressed Rigby. “I recall you’re an actor in Larissa’s project, ‘Heaven’s Will’. For her to invite you to her birthday party suggests a rather close relationship.”

He shot a pointed look at Haskell, the insinuation clear.

Haskell ignored him completely.

“What are you trying to say?” Rigby retorted, his voice sharp. “That Ms. Judson and I are having some kind of sordid affair? Like father, like son—you two are equally unpleasant. No wonder she wanted nothing to do with either of you.”

The direct hit left Finley visibly flustered.

“Did you two really think Larissa seated you here because she still cares?” Avril piped up. “No, it was to humiliate you.”

“And you’ve succeeded in embarrassing yourselves,” Kiernan added, his face grim.

Paxton’s fists clenched under the table. Josette’s expression soured.

This old man was a fool! He should be defending his own son and grandsons, not siding with outsiders. He deserved to die!

In Lucius’s private suite at Neverending Night, Milton stared at the large screen displaying a live feed from the Judson villa.

Honora smiled sweetly. “Nothing, really. But I have to thank you again for lending me that two million.” She said it loudly enough for Lucius to hear, wanting him to know the lengths she had gone to for his plan.

“Oh, so you needed that money for Mr. Lincoln?” Milton said. “You should have just said so! I would’ve lent it to you in a heartbeat.”

Honora forced a laugh, silently cursing him. He said “lent it”, not “given”. What a cheapskate! No wonder he was just a powerless reject in his own family, one they wouldn't even back in his bet against Larissa.

“Lucius, what’s this big show you’ve planned? Can’t you give me a little hint?” Livia asked, playfully squeezing his arm. She was disappointed she couldn't attend the party herself, but Lucius had promised her front-row seats to a spectacular drama.

“The party is about to begin. Be patient,” Lucius said, glancing at her. “You’ll see soon enough.”

Livia pouted, then turned her worried gaze to the screen. She silently prayed in her heart, “Ms. Judson, I hope my warning was enough. Please, be careful.”
