Larissa Judson and Haskell Palmer novel Chapter 915

"Something big?" Zendar repeated, his voice rising in alarm. "What do you mean?"

Larissa calmly laid out Jedidiah's entire plan to blow up the village.

"What?" Zendar slammed his hand on the table, making it shudder. If they hadn't already finished their meal, the dishes would have gone flying.

"The nerve!" he roared. "That Jedidiah is completely insane! Does he have any idea how many talented people live in this village?"

"Zendar, calm down," Larissa said quickly. "I came back so we could figure out how to handle this together."

Kiernan's face was grim. He looked at Larissa and asked in a low voice, "Larissa, are those newcomers really death row inmates?"

Larissa nodded without hesitation. "Yes, Grandpa. And we have Finley to thank for it. He recognized one of them, which made me suspicious enough to investigate. It turns out every single one of them is an escaped convict."

Faced with Larissa's sudden praise, Finley blushed. "I just happened to recognize him. I was worried Jedidiah had sent him to harm Grandpa. I never thought it would be this important."

Zendar clenched his fists. "So, what's your plan?"

"Time is short," Larissa explained. "I only confirmed yesterday that Jedidiah's real goal is to level the entire village. We have to get conclusive proof of his plan so we can bring him to justice for good."

She pulled out the photos Nightveil had gathered and looked at Zendar seriously. "I know the exact locations where Jedidiah planted the bombs. Tonight, I need you to lead the villagers to secretly dig them up and replace them with the fireworks I brought. Tomorrow night, I'm going to put on a spectacular fireworks show for everyone watching my livestream."

Zendar nodded solemnly. "You can count on me, Larissa. I'll get all the villagers together tonight. We won't let Jedidiah's twisted plan succeed."

Finley then spoke up. "Larissa, is there anything I can do to help?"

[Awesome! I want to go too, but I'm not watching the stream—I'm going to the village myself!]

[Whoa! Going to the village to watch? I'm so jealous! It's too far for me, otherwise I'd be there in a heartbeat!]

...

The next day.

"Boss, we just got word from our guys. Everything in the village is set. We can detonate on schedule at midnight tomorrow," a subordinate reported to Jedidiah after taking a call.

Jedidiah, sitting on a lavish sofa, blew gently on his coffee. "Good. I want a live feed of the event."
