Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 726

“Wow, really? Sapphira designed this? It’s gorgeous!” Avril exclaimed. “That’s it, I’m having you design all my future gowns! And I’ll make sure all my friends come to you, too!”

Hearing her daughter praise her at the party, and getting such an immediate, supportive response from the guests, Sapphira’s eyes grew misty.

Larissa continued, “Everyone here tonight is someone I cherish, someone important to me. So please, relax, eat, drink, and enjoy yourselves.”

“Don’t you worry, Larissa, we won’t be shy!” one of the villagers called out. “We’re going to clean every plate on this table!”

With that, the kitchen staff and servers began bringing out the courses, and everyone started to eat.

...

“Eat up! Let’s see how you all make fools of yourselves,” Honora thought, her eyes filled with venom as she watched the screen in Lucius’s private suite.

Lucius swirled the red wine in his glass, a flicker of anticipation on his cold face. He had never tested this new aphrodisiac on such a large scale before. He was curious to see just how potent it was. Would it be strong enough to incite a public orgy?

At the thought, he downed the contents of his glass.

...

Half an hour later, most of the guests at the party had finished their meal.

Honora was growing anxious. So much time had passed, yet no one seemed to be showing any adverse effects. Had Lucius’s drug failed? Or had her contact in the kitchen botched the job? If it was the latter, she’d make Lucius kill him. She’d already paid the deposit, after all.

“Is it?” Milton touched his cheek. It was burning. He looked at Lucius. “Mr. Lincoln, your face is red too.”

Honora started squirming in her seat. “What’s going on? Is the wine tonight just really strong?”

Lucius felt it too. A dreadful premonition washed over him as he watched Honora’s reaction. He’d seen this kind of behavior before—in his test subjects.

Suddenly, the suite door burst open, and the manager of the Neverending Night rushed in. “Mr. Lincoln, it’s bad! A lot of our guests are acting strangely. Customers are in an uproar and demanding an explanation!”

Lucius’s breathing grew ragged, his head spinning. He gripped the arm of the sofa to stand, his eyes darting around the room.

“Where’s Livia?”
