Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 727

His assistant, also flushed and weak, was powerless to help Lucius.

“Ms. Tyson stepped out to take a call a little while ago,” he replied feebly.

Just then, Lucius’s phone rang. Seeing it was Livia, he answered with a trembling hand. “…Get back to the suite.”

But she didn’t seem to hear him, speaking over him instead. “Sorry, Lucius, something’s come up with my father. I have to go check on him, so I can’t stay tonight.”

“I told you to come back—”

Before he could finish, she hung up.

Damn it! The one time he actually needed her, she was gone.

Lucius gripped his phone tightly and looked at his assistant. “Get the antidote.”

“Wh-what antidote?” the assistant asked, confused.

“What do you think? The antidote for the new drug we developed!” Lucius was practically screaming by the end.

“Sir,” the assistant said in a panic, “are you saying we’ve been poisoned with that drug? But… we don’t have an antidote for it…”

The manager who had come to report the chaos was stunned. “Then what do we do? This is a major incident. The Neverending Night is in serious trouble…”

Lucius was in no condition to handle the crisis. He quickly dialed Helena’s number. A moment later, she answered.

From the sound of Lucius’s voice, she guessed the drug had already taken full effect.

Half an hour earlier, shortly after Larissa’s party began, Livia had received a call. Using the excuse that the suite was too loud, she had stepped into the hallway to answer it. The caller had warned her, “Ms. Tyson, the drinks in your suite are about to be spiked with a new aphrodisiac developed by the Lincoln family. Don’t drink anything, and find an excuse to leave before the drug hits Lucius.”

So, the moment she noticed Lucius and the others getting flushed, she had made her exit.

“Don’t thank me,” Nightveil said coolly. “It was the boss’s specific order.”

Hearing this, the worry that had clouded Livia’s face all evening transformed into a pleased smile. It seemed Larissa was fine. More than fine—she had turned the tables on Lucius. She was as formidable as ever.

“I should go,” Livia said, putting her phone away. “I did just lie to Lucius about visiting my father.”
