Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 752

If anyone should feel inadequate, Crispin thought, it was him. He remembered thinking that Larissa was just a village healer with some medical skill, completely unworthy of his boss.

But now…

It wasn’t that he thought his boss was unworthy of Ms. Judson. It was that he knew his boss, being in love with her, would want to be her equal, her pillar of support.

Haskell looked down at his legs. If he weren’t certain they could be healed, learning Larissa’s true identity would have made him shrink away, feeling completely out of her league.

He had to work harder.

His long-term goal: become one of the wealthiest men in the world.

His short-term goal: secure his position as the heir to the Palmer family.

Without that, what could he, a man with nothing, offer Larissa for a life together?

Because she was seeing her grandfather and the villagers off, Larissa was up at six in the morning.

After getting ready, she went downstairs to find Sapphira and Neville already waiting.

“Let’s go see your grandfather off.”

“Okay.”

On the way, Neville said, “After everything that’s happened, your grandfather must be in a great deal of pain. But Larissa, we all know you’re not the one to blame. Paxton brought this on himself. You shouldn’t feel guilty.”

Larissa smiled. “Don’t worry, Dad. I’m not going to torture myself with thoughts like, ‘I never should have come back to the Judson family.’”

She added, “If I hadn’t come back, how would I have ever become your daughter?”

Sapphira beamed. “That’s right. The two luckiest things in my life were meeting your father, and going with him to bring you home.”

Larissa nodded. “I will. You all have to come back for my wedding, you know.”

The villagers laughed. “Hahaha, of course!”

Behind them, Josette finally put the pieces together. “Dad, are you going to their village?”

Kiernan grunted in affirmation. He wanted to ask if she had known about Paxton’s plan, but in the end, he didn't. He just said, “Josette, you’d best watch yourself.”

With that, he got into his private car. The villagers boarded the same tour bus that had brought them there.

After seeing them off, Sapphira and Neville returned to their own villa.

Josette turned to Larissa, forcing a sickly sweet smile. “Larissa, dear, why is your grandfather suddenly going to the village?”

Larissa met her gaze with a bright smile of her own. “Because Paxton is going to prison. Grandpa can’t handle the shock, so he’s decided to retire to the countryside.”
