Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 839

Fergus's vile words had little effect on Larissa, but behind her, Tawny's face drained of all color.

"Larissa!" Fergus shouted upon seeing her, his eyes a mixture of fury and barely concealed terror. "Let me out! If you let me go now, you still have a chance! I can get Lucius to spare you!"

Larissa stepped inside and noticed Tawny hadn't followed. She turned to see her standing frozen in the doorway, pale as a ghost.

"Come in," Larissa said gently.

Tawny didn't seem to hear.

"Didn't you say you'd do whatever I asked?" Larissa's voice was firmer this time.

That broke the spell. Tawny hesitated, then slowly walked toward Larissa as Fergus continued to scream. "Larissa, are you listening to me? Let me out!"

Larissa ignored him, her focus entirely on Tawny.

"Get me a tool," she told Nightveil. "Something that won't get my hands dirty."

"Right away," Nightveil said, returning moments later with a baseball bat. "Here you go, Boss."

Larissa took the bat and walked toward Fergus. He shrank back in terror. "Larissa, if you touch me, it's over for you—ah!"

Fergus's eyes widened. He couldn't believe she knew so much about his past.

"The only way to make him feel regret, to make him suffer, is to inflict real pain," Larissa said, her gaze fixed on Tawny.

Tawny looked down at the bat, her mind racing.

Fergus, clutching his bloody mouth, spat, "Larissa, you just wait. Unless you kill me right here, the second I get out, I'll make you wish you were never born!"

Why? Tawny wondered, looking at his snarling face. Why was he still so defiant even after being beaten?
