Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 1111

Stella fell silent after hearing that.

Whatever Evan was thinking now had nothing to do with her anymore.

Still, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.

“As long as he’s too busy to keep digging into it.”

If Evan really kept suspecting she was alive, that would become a serious problem.

Felix nodded. “Your brother’s making sure he has plenty of other things to worry about.”

Stella’s expression immediately darkened at the words your brother.

Clearly, Aaron was no longer someone she considered a brother.

Felix understood exactly what she was thinking.

He sighed and gently rubbed the top of her head.

“He’s still your brother. No matter what happens, that part can’t be changed.”

Stella said nothing.

Couldn’t be changed?

That only made it hurt more.

“How is Mr. Hogarth doing?”

This time, she was asking about Michael Hogarth.

Maybe she had simply been too disappointed in the Hogarth family lately.

The moment Aaron stopped feeling like a brother to her, Michael stopped feeling like a father too.

She didn’t want anything to do with either of them anymore.

Stella hadn’t asked about Michael once during this entire time.

So when she suddenly brought him up, Felix paused.

Then he said, “He’s in the hospital.”

Stella froze.

She hadn’t expected that.

For a moment, she didn’t even know how she was supposed to react.

When she had returned to Eirden, she had barely seen Michael.

Even after the Hogarth family found her, she hadn’t spent much time with her father.

Most of their contact had been over the phone.

He had always been too busy.

So busy that even though he clearly felt guilty toward her and cared about her, he rarely had time to actually see her.

She hadn’t expected him to end up in the hospital.

“How is he?” Stella asked.

They needed to be even more careful now.

“It’s better if none of them know,” Felix said.

After all, there were too many competing interests and power struggles within the Hogarth family.

And Stella had never been able to adapt to the way they lived.

If she got dragged back into that world again, she wouldn’t be able to handle it.

Stella glanced at Felix.

“Evan definitely suspects I’m alive.”

This time, she wasn’t merely wondering.

She was certain.

Felix nodded. “Yeah.”

Which meant he needed to disappear even faster.

Once that was done, what did it matter if Evan suspected the truth?

Both Stella and Felix would be living under completely new identities.

Evan could spend the rest of his life searching for them if he wanted.

He still wouldn’t find them.
