Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 168

Chapter 168

Stella had already been him about wanting a divorce these past few days.

And now he had the same idea as the rest of the Wright family?

Trying to pressure her?

Trying to make her back down?

After everything she had done recently, did she look like someone who would ever give in?

And now it was worse.

His attitude from yesterday had made its way back to her.

Things were only going to explode further.

Evan exhaled slowly. “She fed me the porridge. She knew it was poisoned.”

There was something complicated in his voice when he said it.

Lucas blinked. “If she knew it was poisoned, then she definitely knew it came from your family. If I were her, I would’ve fed it to you too.”

Evan: “…”

Lucas was honestly surprised.

Surprised that the Wright family could hate Stella to this extent.

Then again… it made sense.

A family like theirs cared about reputation more than anything.

And recently, Stella had blown everything up.

She had tied her pregnancy directly to Summer, exposing everything in the open.

It was not just the Wright family whose reputation took a hit. Even the Baileys had been dragged into it.

Stella’s chain reaction of moves had left the entire Wright family scrambling.

“Honestly, I don’t blame her for making a scene,” Lucas added. “Your mom has been dead set on getting you to divorce her and marry Summer instead.”

Even Lucas found that shocking.

A younger brother stepping in to take his older brother’s woman?

No matter how you looked at it, it was ugly.

But Summer had clearly played her cards well.

Who knew what she had said to convince the entire Wright family?

Evan cut him off. “Ask her where she is.”

He had zero interest in discussing Summer right now.

Lucas let out a dry laugh. “You think she’s going to pick up my call right now?”

He had just tried calling Stella from his own phone earlier.

There was no way she would answer him now.

“Honestly, this is on you,” Lucas went on. “Your own wife, and now you have to use my phone just to try to reach her?”

Evan: “…”

Lucas glanced at him. “You really thought she’d never leave you, didn’t you?”

Thinking back over the past six months, the mess between Evan and Summer had been unbearable.

No woman could tolerate that kind of situation.

But Evan had acted like he did not even see Stella’s reactions.

Every time something came up with Summer or the child, he went running.

Evan’s patience snapped. “Can you shut up for once?”

“No,” Lucas shot back. “If I were her, I wouldn’t forgive you either.”

“The whole city has been gossiping about you and Summer, and you still didn’t even try to keep your

distance.”

You had it coming.

“And Summer…” Lucas scoffed. “She really knows how to play it. Even came up with the excuse that she’s depressed after your brother’s death.”

What a convenient illness.

“Enough,” Evan said coldly. “Just ask her where she is.”

“I told you, I can’t get it out of her.”

“I’ve already tried before,” Lucas added. “If I ask where she is, she’ll know exactly who I’m asking for. You think she’s stupid?”

Evan’s breathing turned uneven with anger.
