Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 213

Chapter 213

Stella fell silent for a moment.

She’ll get through it that quickly?

That didn’t sound likely.

This was a huge mess. Ruby had just gone to Eirden. How could she resolve it that fast?

Unless… she had already latched onto someone powerful over there.

Stella had to admit, Ruby’s social skills were impressive.

There was a reason people in Harbor City always said she built her empire through her connections.

But this time, she was practically stuck in place.

Did she really still have that kind of influence?

Dora’s voice came through again, sharp and impatient. “Summer’s depression is getting worse, and the baby’s condition is critical. Stop being so selfish and hogging Evan. You’re perfectly fine. What’s wrong with letting him come to the hospital?”

Stella scoffed. “Nothing wrong with it. If you can get him to come, that’s your business. If he doesn’t, that’s

not on me.”

As if she were the one stopping Evan.

Every word Dora said made it sound like she was clinging to him and refusing to let go.

Before Dora could respond, Stella let out a cold laugh. “Honestly, I’d love to leave the Wright family.

“Why don’t you get Evan to hand me the divorce papers? I’ll leave. I’ll leave Harbor City too if you want. I know my place better than anyone.”

The moment she finished speaking, the bedroom door was pushed open.

Evan stood in the doorway, his face dark, a glass of juice in his hand.

ľ

The look in his eyes was icy.

Clearly, he had heard everything.

On the other end, Dora cursed under her breath and hung up.

Stella listened to the dial tone, then gave Evan a small shrug before tossing her phone onto the bed.

He strode over, set the glass down, then bent and grabbed her wrist, pulling her hard into his arms.

Stella struggled. “You’re insane. Let go of me.”

One hand locked around her wrist, the other gripping her waist.

Warmth and cold pressed in around her at the same time, his presence overwhelming, trapping her completely.

She couldn’t break free.

She glared at him. “What now?”

Even under his dangerous gaze, she showed no fear.

At that moment, Evan looked like he wanted to devour her whole.

Her determination to leave him was driving him to the edge.

He released her wrist and instead caught her chin, forcing her to look at him. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?”

Stella twisted, trying to pull away.

But the next second, he kissed her hard.

She tried to dodge, but there was nowhere to go.

His dominance left her no escape.

Pain flared across her lips, followed by the sharp taste of blood.

She raised her hand and slapped him across the face.

“Are you out of your mind?”

The next instant, he pinned her down on the bed.
