Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 227

Chapter 227 =

Hearing the dial tone, Summer bit down so hard her lips nearly broke,

Beside her, the housekeeper, Mrs. Mendes, handed her a glass of water. “Miss, drink some.”

Summer took it and glanced at her.

After Ruby left, this was the maid assigned to stay by her side.

She wasn’t from the Wright family.

She was from the Bailey family.

Clearly, her mother had already anticipated everything. With the situation overseas turning this serious, there was a real chance Summer would be treated poorly in the Wright family.

Her mother had seen it all coming.

Sure enough, ever since Ruby ran into trouble in Eirden, Dora’s attitude toward her had already started to

shift.

Summer took a sip of water. “Can we just hand the baby over to Stella now?”

Stella had already said it on the phone.

If the baby was returned, she and Evan would divorce.

And that was exactly what Summer wanted.

Mrs. Mendes shook her head. “Wait a little longer.”

“I don’t think we need to wait,” Summer said. “As long as they divorce, that’s enough.”

That was the result she wanted.

Mrs. Mendes’s tone stayed calm. “There are plenty of couples who divorce and remarry.”

Summer fell silent.

“You took a huge risk this time,” Mrs. Mendes continued. “What you want isn’t just a divorce. You want to make sure they can never get back together.” 1

Summer’s eyes darkened. “Right. No getting back together.”

If they divorced, then it had to be final.

Forever.

Mrs. Mendes nodded. “Right now, Mr. Wright already believes Stella took the baby. That’s already torn a crack in their relationship.

“This isn’t like before.

“All those previous conflicts were nothing.

BUL this Time is different. If he believes she took the baby, then in his mind, she becomes a vicious woman.

She paused, then added quietly, “Don’t forget, the reason he liked her in the first place was because she was

obedient and kind.”

Summer gave a slow nod, a cold, dangerous gleam flashing in her eyes.

“Out of all those rich girls back then, he didn’t choose any of them,” she said. “Wasn’t it because Stella played the part of sweet and obedient so well?”

Girls from powerful families came with status and attitude.

Evan didn’t want someone he had to serve.

He wanted someone who would serve him.

Mrs. Mendes nodded. “She’s been causing a scene lately, sure. But in his find, that image of her being ‘kind ‘ hasn’t fully shattered.

“This time is different.

“A missing baby isn’t the same as arguments or fights.”

Summer’s voice turned sharp. “You’re right. She has to become a truly vicious woman in his eyes.’

“So we wait. Keep an eye on the baby.”

What she wanted wasn’t just a divorce.

She wanted no chance of reconciliation.

More than that-

She wanted Evan to personally send Stella to prison.

For both of them to completely break.

And that prison sentence…

That would be Stella’s punishment for stepping into a world she never should have entered.

Mrs. Mendes nodded. “Don’t worry. If anything happens to the baby, we’ll get word immediately.

At the mention of “something happening,” a flicker of pain crossed Summer’s eyes.

Why was everything going wrong?

Her son had already pushed her to the edge these past few days.

And now her daughter too…

Mrs. Mendes added, “We just got word-Mr. Wright said if the baby isn’t found by tomorrow morning, he’ll call the police himself. So Stella is under pressure now.”

The moment Summer heard that-

The trace of sadness in her heart disappeared, replaced by a surge of satisfaction.

So Evan was finally going to give up on Stella.
