Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 285

Chapter 285

If Felix was really fighting him over Stella and had even dragged the Hogarth Group into it, then that was basically cheating.

Felix let out a quiet laugh. “You think I’m going head to head with you?”

“Am I wrong? If this is because of Stella, you can stop now. We’re already divorced.”

When Evan said the word ‘divorced’, his voice was thick with pain.

His mind flashed back to the first time he saw Stella.

One look. That was all it took.

From that very first glance, he knew he wanted to be with her.

And the day he finally married her, he had truly believed he would never let go of her hand for the rest of his

life.

But in the end, they still got divorced.

Because of Felix.

Over the phone, Felix gave a low laugh. “Evan, you really are not that bright.”

“You actually think the Hogarth Group would make a move on you just because of one business partner?”

Evan snapped, “Isn’t that the case? In all of Port Yves, you’re the only one connected to the Hogarth Group.”

There was no one else.

Felix’s tone was flat. “We’re just business partners.”

In other words, whatever the Hogarth Group was doing to Evan had nothing to do with him.

But Evan was in no state to listen, much less believe him.

The Hernandez Group was already pulling out of their joint investment projects, and the entire Wright Corporation was in chaos.

Everything had piled up on Evan at once, leaving him completely overwhelmed.

Before Evan could say another word, Felix hung up and tossed the phone back to Jack.

Jack caught it. “So Mr. Wright still has no idea why the Hogarth Group is targeting him?”

Felix let out a cold laugh. “With the brain he’s working with, what can he think about right now besides Summer?”

He used to think Evan was pretty sharp.

Now?

“Are they really over for good?” Felix asked, glancing at Jack.

Jack nodded. “Miss Rowan’s people already picked up the divorce agreement. Her lawyer is handling the paperwork now.”

Once the divorce certificate came through, everything between her and Evan would be completely over.

Felix nodded. “Good.”

Evan could never let go of Summer or Steven’s children, and Stella could not keep enduring the humiliation he put her through.

Besides…

Felix could not bear to see that girl suffer any more than she already had.

A memory flashed through his mind.

Felix closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose, where a headache was beginning to build.

He had only been one step too late.

Just one step.

How had he still ended up too late?

But it did not matter now.

She and Evan were over for good.

“The auction is the day after tomorrow?” Felix asked.

Jack paused, a little surprised. Since when was his boss paying attention to auctions?

He used to say the items there were only good for giving away.

Was he planning to buy gifts for someone now?

Jack quickly answered, “Yes.”

“Buy everything worth having,” Felix said.

Jack froze again. “Everything?”

“Yes. Everything.”

Jack was speechless.

Everything?

Then he suddenly remembered something. “I heard Mrs. Wright was planning to buy something at the auction for Ms. Summer as a reward for giving birth to the twins.”

He had only heard the rumor in passing, so he did not know if it was true.

But if it was, and they bought up everything good at the auction, the Wright family definitely would not be
