Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 290

Chapter 290

When Dora showed up at the company again, Evan was in no mood to see her.

Everything overseas had already spiraled into complete chaos. Nothing was going right anywhere.

He was already on edge, and right now he did not want to see a single member of the Wright family.

Dora followed him into his office and slid the divorce agreement across his desk.

“Sign it.”

As Evan pulled out a cigarette, he glanced at the document she had shoved toward him.

The moment he saw the words ‘Divorce Agreement’, he frowned. “What now?”

Dora said, “She said there was an accident on the way to finalize the divorce, so she needs you to sign a new

copy.’

Evan fell silent.

So he and Stella were not divorced after all?

At that thought, the pressure that had been crushing his chest since morning finally eased, if only by the slightest amount.

Dora urged, “Just sign it already. A woman like her staying in the Wright family any longer is only going to cause more trouble.”

As long as she did not see Evan and Stella officially divorced, she would not be able to relax.

She did not know why, but when Stella had called her around noon, something about her tone had felt off.

Even over the phone, Dora could practically feel the look in Stella’s eyes. Cold and venomous, like a snake staring her down.

It felt as if Stella’s hands could reach straight through the line and crush her throat at any second.

That sense of danger had been so strong that even distance had done nothing to weaken it.

“Sign it. Now.”

The moment that eerie feeling crossed her mind again, Dora pressed him a second time.

Evan shot her a look. “What kind of accident?”

“What?”

“What happened when she went to finalize the divorce?”

Dora snapped, “How would I know? Stop asking so many questions and just sign it already.”

She kept pushing him, over and over, to sign.

Evan let out a short, humorless laugh. He picked up the agreement and looked through it. The moment he saw the clause stating that Stella would be leaving the marriage with nothing, he glanced at Dora.

“You drafted this yourself, didn’t you?”

Leave with nothing?

With the way that woman had been acting lately, like she refused to take even the smallest loss, there was no way she would ever agree to terms like that.

Dora’s face darkened. “And what exactly has she ever contributed to the Wright family? What gives her the right to take anything?”

Smack.

Evan tossed the agreement back onto the desk, then lit his cigarette with unhurried calm.

“Sounds to me like you do not actually want us to get divorced.”

“Just sign it!”

“You really think if you hand her this agreement, she is going to quietly go finalize the divorce?”

Dora froze.

Wouldn’t she?

She had no choice.

But then she thought about the way Stella had been acting lately, and for a moment, even Dora felt

uncertain.
