Chapter 501
Even with rumors spreading that far, the elders of the Hernandez family still had not reacted at all.
That was what surprised Evan the most.
Patrick drove away from the intersection. Felix’s window had already rolled back up, and a moment later, his car sped off right in front of Evan.
Evan watched Felix’s taillights disappear, then took a drag from the cigarette between his fingers.
Patrick glanced at him and asked, “Should I wait for you here at eight tomorrow morning?”
Evan did not answer. He turned and walked back inside.
That damn woman really knew how to make trouble.
No wonder Dora and Fiona had been unable to take it before. Even he was starting to lose patience with walking back and forth like this every day.
His legs hurt from all the coming and going.
His legs were uncomfortable.
The cold wind cutting across his face felt even worse.
At the Wright family estate.
Stella had just sat down on the sofa in the living room when a maid immediately brought over a blanket and draped it over her legs.
“Thank you,” Stella said.
Although she had been in the car the whole way, she had still felt the cold the moment she stepped out at the front
gate.
The temperature inside the house was perfectly controlled, warm and comfortable.
Gray walked over. “Miss, you’re back.”
Stella nodded.
Gray said, “The heat in their rooms has been shut off.”
By “their,” he meant Dora, Fiona, Summer, and the others.
In this kind of weather, snow outside could easily pile up a foot deep overnight. Without heating, they would not have an easy time.
Stella gave a soft hum of acknowledgment.
Gray continued, “Summer is still out by the animal enclosure, bathing the animals.”
Stella frowned. “She’s still not done?”
How long had it been?

Gray replied, “There are dozens of animals. Those cats are especially fierce. They scratched her up pretty badly.”
Stella was silent.
Cats?
Those were Fiona’s favorites.
Two of them were especially vicious. Bathing them was no easy task.
Summer had basically spent the whole day out at the enclosure. Since she used to love those animals so much, she could enjoy them to her heart’s content today.
Just then, Fiona came downstairs.
The look she gave Stella was full of barely restrained anger.
Stella glanced at Gray. Understanding at once, Gray said, “I’ll go make a call.”
Stella nodded. “All right.”
Gray left.
Fiona walked up to Stella with a cleaning rag clenched in her hand. Stella set down her glass of water and looked up at her.
It was only a glance, but in that instant, Fiona saw a queenlike pressure in Stella’s eyes.
That look felt completely unfamiliar.
For some reason, Fiona suddenly felt as if she had never truly known Stella at all.
She was terrifying.
“Do you need something?” Stella asked coldly, cutting off Fiona’s thoughts.
Fiona came back to herself and took a deep breath. “Are you serious about Felix?”
At that, Stella looked at her and raised an eyebrow without saying a word.
But the mockery at the corner of her mouth deepened.
Fiona really did like Felix.
Seeing Stella maintain this unclear relationship with him made Fiona ache for him.
If she could, she would have killed Stella herself.
Fiona said, “If you’re serious about Felix, then divorce my brother. Don’t humiliate Evan like this while playing Felix at the same time.”
Felix and Evan were both important to Fiona.
