“She doesn’t want to go back,” Amos said. “You should respect her decision.”

“I’m not wasting time arguing with you.”

“Keep pushing me, and I really will kill her.”

“Felix and Aaron interfered with the Kylo deal. The partnership is dead.”

Evan said nothing.

“If we don’t hand her over, they’ll only become more aggressive.”

He had no patience left for Amos’s assumptions.

The very fact that Felix and Aaron were willing to negotiate with Litt said enough.

They were tempted.

“The only reason they haven’t agreed to hand her over is that Litt hasn’t offered enough yet.”
