Raven
The building in front of us lay in darkness, the white of the house faded to a dark grey in the lack of light. Not that I needed to see it to knew exactly what it looked like. I’d been here in the day time. And even if I hadn’t I seen the houses plans. I knew every room, every endor
Even now my men were hovering outside several of Josh’s businesses ready to swoop in when the clock struck midnight
We would take out his entire disgusting operation in one go. But personally I needed to be here. Where he was. The black heart of his mil empire. I wanted to see his face when he realised it was all over, the second before I put a bullet between his eyes and finished what Bottie had started all those years ag
She deserved that.
The other women who were his victims did as well.
But more than anyone Daisy did. She had lived though his hell for the longest. Sometimes it amazed me that had come through it as sweet and strong is
she was.
Then there was the girl in the photo. The one who looked like my ex wife but had my eyes. Gunner said she was here.
That asshole had taken my daughter. A child who I hadn’t even known existed for nineteen years.
Jesus Christ my ex must have really hated me. She would have been pregnant when she left:
Or maybe, I chewed on my bottom lip. My mind more on the past than what I was about to do which was dangerous.
Maybe she had just loved our unborn child more. Back then I’d just been patched into the Reapers. It was all danger, booze and women. I’d been a stupid egotistical kid. I couldn’t blame her for getting out and giving our child a chance.
The club back then under the old prez had been different. More dangerous.
That pulled a wry smile from my lips. That was rich seeing as what we were about to do.
A shadow moved up to my left side, and I didn’t need to turn my head to know it was Gunnar.
He moved silently and not for the first time I wondered what he’d actually done in the military before he got out. He said snipe I had a sneaky suspicion if was something more than that.
There was a story there but I wasn’t going to pause to ask why he had got out. And Gunner wasn’t offering the information.
“Ready?” I mumbled and saw the angry flash of his eyes. Hiding my grin I steeled myself. Clearly I wasn’t allowed to talk
He nodded though, and glancing at his watch he lifted his hand, closed fist.
I hid my smile. Gunner would be point, he was the one with the military training after all. The best marksman of us all.
“What the fuck does that mean?” Someone hissed behind us and I smelt the tang of ciggerette smoke as someone lit up.
Gunner turned angrily. “Means we are going in. Put that out asshole.”

They couldn’t help but grin. He might be mi military man, but the rest of us weren’t and i could see it was driving him insane

Still it was time to move, quietly stealthily.
No one stopped us, not even when gunner opened the front door and stepped inside.
I expected someone to shout or the pop pop of gunfire. Hell at this point I wouldn’t have been surprised if the place was firy trapped But there was nothing. Just silence.
No, I froze and cocked my head to the side at the same time Gunner did. There was a faint noise. A muffled sort of sound. Like someone was trying to tel
and couldn’t.
“Check the other rooms and upstairs.” I ordered quickly as I sidled up to gunner.
“What is that? What is happening here?”
He shook his head and pointed to the door at the end of the hallway.
We crept forward together. Weapons out. Ready for anything and still no one attacked us.
Josh should have guards, there had been other women here but everything was so quiet it was almost frightening.
What if-
Jesus what if he had found out we were coming and disposed of the bodies? What if this wasn’t a rescue mission but a body recovery.
My mind flashed back to the women I had seen here. Broken dolls for Josh to play with.
He didn’t take me as someone who kept his broken toys for long.
“Gentleman.” The unmistakable voice of Josh called out from behind that closed door. “I’ve been expecting you. Why don’t you come in.”
Both me and Gunner froze, exchanging glances with each other. We nodded at the same time.
Worst fear realised. He had been expecting us.
Shit.
ľ
I moved into the room first. Gunner right at my side. Gun not raised but he was poised and ready. I knew how good a shot he was.
He didn’t need it pointed at someone head to be the quickest to pull the trigger.
Josh was sitting by the window. Watching us approach through the reflection on the glass. There was a woman next to him.
Her dark hair cut, no hacked close to her scalp. She was dressed in screeching red satin. The dress backless and barely covering her ass.
“Welcome gentleman I’ve been expecting you.” With practice ease he turned the chair. The girl didn’t move a muscle. I couldn’t even see her shoulders move
she was stili.
If she hadn’t been standing I would have thought she was dead.
