Xander
“You’re a fucking liabilty.” I said as a way of a greeting the second I heard the patio doors slide open. The remnants of the party had mostly been cleaned up but the deck was still littered with glass. I wasn’t going to be the one that cleaned that up.
He was the one who had smashed the table , he could damn well tidy up his mess.
In fact he could damn well sort out his entire life. This running around being reckless might have been understandable at first, he’d had it tough but his life wasn’t tough anymore and there were only so many chances I could give him, only so many excuses I could make before he had to face the consequences.
“Dont start.” he mumbled, his voice thick with the force of his hangover. Out of the corner of my eye I saw him plop himself down on the lounge next to mine and throw an arm over his face to blot out the sun.
I didn’t say a word. There wasn’t more than four years between us but sometimes.. Most of the time I felt like I had to parent him and it was driving me crazy.
“I mean Xander, I am not in the mood for lectures this early in the morning.”
I couldn’t help it. I glanced down at my watch. “It’s almost two in the afternoon. And you’re not in any fit state to ride. What am i meant to tell-”
He cut me off with a growl. “I don’t care what you tell him. He shouldn’t be in charge anyway. Everyone knows the vote was yours.”
Sliding my dark glasses down my face I turned towards him. “Raven won the vote fair and square. He is president. You don’t have to like him Irish but you do have to respect him.”
I didn’t need to look to know he was pouting.
Sometimes it made me wonder about his mental health, what his time locked up had done to him before we met. Irish was deadly, both with weapons and his fists and he was completely ruthless when it came to his target but there were times like now, that he acted little more than a child.
Maybe it was because he had been locked up at such a young age for a crime he did not commit. The fall guy for a pretty piece of ass that was meant to be in love with him.
“It was one hell of a party though.” He said with a chuckle and the atmosphere lightened considerably. “Would have been better if you joined, i had three -”
“I was busy.” I cut him off.
“Too busy to tap ass?”
Out of the corner of my eye I saw him sit up and turn to me. “So it’s true then?”
“What is true?”
