Love After Leaving: No Regret (Agnes and Raymond) novel Chapter 310

She deserves that much? She's nothing more than an adopted fake heiress. How laughable.

Rebecca crouched down and stared at Duncan on the ground, then spoke again after a pause.

"You're the same. You didn't want to confirm our relationship either, not because of anything else, but because you looked down on me. You looked down on my background."

Rebecca stood up and walked forward step by step.

"So we were just using each other anyway. Now that there's no more value, we go our separate ways.

"Ah, no, actually, you can go after Monica, together in hell! Haha!"

Duncan clutched the ground, trembling violently, and rasped, "You... Whose child... is in your belly..."

Rebecca paused. She looked down, silent for a moment.

Her hand rested on her abdomen, and a mocking smile curled on her lips.

"That is none of your concern anymore.

"Duncan, when you see Monica later, say hi for me! Bye!"

She turned and left without looking back.

Duncan coughed up blood, reaching out with all his remaining strength, voice broken and desperate. "Rebecca... Come back..."

In the hospital room of a private luxury hospital...

Agnes lay in bed, her mind foggy and unstable over the past few days.

Sometimes lucid, sometimes lost—unable to tell dream from reality.

After an unknown stretch of time, she slowly opened her eyes. Everything was white.

She reached out blindly into the air. Suddenly, her hand was held.

"Agnes? You're awake??"

It was a woman's voice—familiar, yet distant.

"I'm Carmen. Can you hear me?"

Agnes's mind was blank, her voice weak and breathless. "Where am I? What happened..."

Carmen leaned closer, speaking gently, "You're in my brother's hospital. You're safe. Don't worry."

"I can't see... Everything is white..."

Carmen soothed her, "Your eyes were injured and bandaged. Once the stitches are removed in a few days, you'll be able to see again.

"Don't be scared, I'm here."

Fragments of memory slowly returned.

The night at the cemetery. The explosion. The chaos.

And in the end, Raymond lunged toward her.

Agnes suddenly tensed and asked, "Where is Raymond?"

Carmen held her hand tighter.

"He's in the next room. He's fine. Just injured and resting."
