Seeing all the commotion, Duncan panicked and scrambled backward until he hit the corner of the wall.
His lips trembled as he asked, "W-What are you doing?! Are you going to kill me?!"
Carmen let out a light laugh. "Didn't you just say you wanted to die? Well, I'm just granting your wish."
Duncan said, "No, no! I don't want to die! Stay away! All of you, get away from me!"
Carmen laughed so hard her whole body shook.
"Oh wow, look at you, lying through your teeth.
"Don't worry. I'll let you keep your miserable life. But right now, I need something from you."
Duncan glared at the deranged woman in horror.
"What are you going to do?! Are you trying to take my kidney?! You're all animals!"
Carmen clicked her tongue in disgust.
"Your kidney? Not worth anything. I wouldn't take it even if it were free. Calm down."
She grabbed his chin again, turning his face side to side as she studied his eyes.
"But those eyes of yours are pretty nice. I want them."
Duncan was terrified out of his mind. Every hair on his body stood on end as he broke down crying, begging.
"Don't take my eyes! Please! Please don't! No, no, please! I'll do anything! Please!"
He scrambled to his knees and slapped himself across the face over and over.
When he saw that Carmen remained unmoved, he suddenly snapped, screaming in rage, "Why are you doing this to me?! Why?!
"I'm your half-brother! We're family! We have the same blood!
"You're killing your own brother! You're going to face retribution!
"You'll be struck by lightning! You'll rot in hell! You're going to—"
Smack! Smack! Smack!
Before he could finish, Carmen stepped forward and slapped him hard several times, leaving blood at the corner of his mouth.
Carmen burst into crazed laughter.
"Retribution? Hahaha! I'm the retribution for you and Ursa!"
She shot a look at the bodyguards beside her.
They immediately dragged Duncan off the ground and strapped him tightly onto the operating table.
"Why?! Why?! Argh! Why?! Let me go! Let go of me!"
Carmen said, "This is your own doing. Of course, you're the one who has to clean it up!
"Raymond lost his sight because of you, so sorry not sorry, we're taking your corneas and giving them to him."
Duncan felt sick to his stomach, like he'd swallowed a million flies.
This lunatic was going to take his corneas and give them to his enemy.
He thrashed wildly, struggling like a madman. The ropes cut into his skin until blood started to seep out.
