After Nina and Ryan burned the old belongings, Sarah had already packed her bags and come downstairs.

Anna followed behind Sarah, her face still pale.

Alright, Nina said.

Nina didn’t say anything else. She and Ryan loaded up the luggage and hit the road to Betrico.

This time, only Nina, Ryan, Sarah, and Anna were heading out first.

Elaine and Ethan had to finish up business in Riverdale before they could head over.

Miranda and Philip were being driven to Betrico by Falconer.

Simon and Patrick took another car, tailing Nina’s all the way.

A few hours later, the car arrived at Nina’s villa in Betrico.

Sarah was feeling tired, so Nina told her to go rest first.

Before their return, Nina had already arranged for the villa to be cleaned and the food to be ready.

But Sarah said she didn’t have any appetite and headed upstairs to rest.

It was already late, so Nina and Ryan just grabbed a quick bite before calling it a night.

After all, there was still a lot to take care of.

The next day when Nina woke up, Sarah was already up.

She was busy packing up Nina’s luggage.

Nina quickly stopped her. “Grandma, you don’t have to do this. I’ll have the housekeeper take care of it.”

Sarah smiled warmly, “Come on, I know you too well. You never liked having maids fussing around, so don’t go hiring one just for me. Anna’s all I need.

“And this little bit of packing? I can handle it. Don’t worry about me getting tired. Honestly, being able to do something for you is what makes this place feel like a real home.”

Nina was about to protest, but Ryan laughed, “Nina, let Grandma do what makes her happy. Just let her be.”

Nina paused, then nodded. “Okay, but Grandma, promise me you won’t wear yourself out.”

Sarah grinned. I hear you, my little manager.”

Nina’s nose tingled, her heart suddenly aching.

Nina could tell that her grandma was just putting on a brave face to ease the tension.

She just didn’t want Nina to worry about her.

But what Sarah didn’t realize was that the more she pretended everything was fine, the more Nina worried.

Ryan and Nina made breakfast together.
