Maid For Beckett Catching The Baseball Legend’s Heart novel Chapter 50

Chapter 50

-Andi-

Beckett’s grip around my wrist was ironclad as he pulled me away from Siobhan

SirwaitI barely got the word out before my feet stumbled to keep up with his long strides

He didn’t slow. Didn’t look back. He didn’t mind that people were starting to take notice of us. Some were pulling out they phones and pointing at us, while others were whispering with their companions.

I couldn’t keep up with Beckett’s long stride, and neither could Siobhan. She was calling Beckett more like hreang be tried to follow us in her skyscraper stilettos. She offered to drive me home and headed straight to her office. Now I chos think the first one was going to happen anymore.

Beckett dragged me straight toward his car like he was afraid I might vanish if he loosened his bold even for a veces d

Beckett! People can see you!Siobhan hissed, panic and worry setting in her voice.

Sir, let me go!My voice shook now as my mind spiralled with all the possible outcomes of this situation. People are now really noticing what was happening. Really notice. I felt exposed, humiliated, scared, but Beckett’s focus was locked torn jaw clenched so tight I thought his teeth might crack.

His car wasn’t that far from Siobhan’s. About ten meters away. I don’t know whether I should be thankful we finally reaches his car or worried he’s going to shove me inside it. He yanked the passenger door open and released my hand, staring down at me, daring me to run away.

He didn’t say a word. We just stood there, and I had three seconds to decide on what to do next before people started taking pictures and videos of Beckett hovering over me at the passenger side of his car.

I can run away, really, or scream for help. Siobhan was standing behind Beckett now, and if I ask her to save me, she will from the fire in Beckett’s gray eyes, I know that if I run away now, he will find me and find a way to do as he pleases.

I guess it runs in the blood. Nana Lucy can’t take nofor an answer, and neither can Beckett.

With a hiss, I climbed inside the car. I can deal with him in private, not in public. I don’t want my face plastered all over sports gossip sites again.

He slammed the door shut with such force that the entire car rattled.

I flinched, regretting the choice I had made. Should I have run away? Is it too late to do that now?

I can’t open my door because Beckett’s huge frame is blocking it. He’s facing Siobhan, and I can’t even make our what they are talking about. I doubt it’s about what they had for breakfast this morning. Siobhan’s tum voice echoed through the car in a muffled tone. Beckett’s shoulders were tight, and I could see the veins in his neck ready to pop out.

Finally, they finished what they had been talking about. Beckett rounded the hood of the car, and Siobhan signaled me call her with her hands. The car was tinted, so she couldn’t see my fearful reaction from inside.

She was a really good friend; I am sure of that now.

Beckett slid into the driver’s seat, his massive frame crowding the car. Apart from his figure, his mad aura was suffocating me more. The engine roared to life, and he stepped on the gas as if the building behind us was on fire.

The tires screeched, and I fumbled with my seatbelt, fearing for my life.
