Margaret’s words made him furious. He was losing control, breathing heavily as he glared at the bold, beautiful girl.
He decided to give her one final chance. “Margaret, playing hard to get works once. Keep doing it and you just look desperate.”
“You’re truly an idiot,” Margaret said. She had never met anyone so full of themselves.
“Margaret, I’m offering you this opportunity. Kneel, and you can be with me. You should be grateful. Don’t make this hard.”
Margaret’s eyes turned icy. A dangerous energy surrounded her. “Who do How dare you order me to kneel?”
She was Reaper, the ruler of the underworld!
What made him think he could command her?

Margaret had enough. Her chilly gaze swept over Jose as killing intent rose. “You. Kneel.”
Jose scowled, rage burning within. “Margaret, don’t you dare-

A heavy thud echoed through the hall.
Without rising from her chair, Margaret extended her leg and delivered a powerful kick to his knee. Jose’s body jerked violently. Under the overwhelming force, his legs collapsed, and he crashed to the floor.
Margaret calmly retracted her leg, completely relaxed as if she’d done nothing at all.
“Margaret, you made me kneel?!” Jose shouted.
Pain shot through his legs until they went numb. Humiliation washed over him. He tried to stand but couldn’t, forced to remain kneeling before her.
At the same time, fear gripped him.
That kick–its power felt like a tidal wave. Even with his training, he couldn’t block it.

He could handle multiple grown men at once.
Yet this delicate–looking girl had nearly broken his leg with a single kick.
What terrified him more–he never even saw her move.
A dread crept down his spine.
Just how powerful was Margaret?
“Oh my god! Mr. Miller is kneeling to that fool!”
“What just happened? Why did he suddenly kneel?”
“Margaret is so arrogant! She made the Miller family’s heir kneel before her!”

guests missed the kick. One moment Jose stood proud; the next he was kneeling before Margaret.
The girl in the black dress remained seated, elegant and regal, calmly accepting his submission. She shone like a true queen.
Margaret announced to the crowd, “Jose, listen carefully. This engagement ends now. Remember, I’m breaking it off. A man like you isn’t fit to be in my shadow.”
The room erupted in shock!!!
Margaret was ending the engagement, by her own choice!
The so–called foolish, plain daughter of the Tucker family had just torn up the agreement between two powerful families.
Everyone expected Jose to be the one to end things. Nobody anticipated this reversal. For the Miller family, this was a direct insult.
This Margaret was incredibly arrogant..
So cool!
From that moment on, in Capaville’s social circles, Margaret became famous.
