Margaret Tucker AKA Lord Reaper novel Chapter 95

Chapter 95 The Legendary Chef

“Help! Someone help me! Ah!

Trapped in the alley, Clara and Michelle huddled together, scared out of their wits. They begged for mercy

between sobs

“Hey, look! They peed themselves! someone laughed.

“Gross! Film this and post it online! This is hilarious!”

Phones flashed as people snapped photos and videos

“No! Stop filming? Don’t take pictures! Clara wailed.

Tll kill you! My dad will have you all killed!” Michelle shrieked.

Outside the alley, Margaret listened to their cries. Her eyes were cold as ice, no warmth at all. A bloodthirsty smile tugged at her lips.

Payback. This is just the start.

“Hey, I think they passed out.”

“So what? Let ’em lie there. No need to call the cops-let ’em rot.

They deserve it. So disgusting!”

Someone even spat on their unconscious bodies.

Then the crowd slowly dispersed.

Clara and Michelle lay on the cold ground, surrounded by garbage like discarded trash.

Margaret had already left the alley. She walked down the busy street with Rickie.

The stream of cars and bustling crowds made her feel like she’d stepped into a different world.

Not long ago, she’d been a top assassin. Poison had seeped into her bones-even her healing powers couldn’t save her. She’d chosen a wild, fitting end for herself.

But after she died, she’d woken up in the body of a timid heiress with a fancy background.

Fate sure had a twisted sense of humor.

But now that she was alive again, those two traitors would pay with their lives.

Rickie, trailing behind Margaret, kept a safe distance from her now.

Margaret’s aura was overwhelming-cold, deadly, like she’d walked out of a battlefield covered in bodies. It

sent a chill down his spine.

Suddenly, she stopped and asked Rickie, “Any good restaurants nearby?”

The murderous vibe faded. She was just a cool, sharp girl again-less terrifying, but still intense.

Rickie finally worked up the nerve to look at her. “Boss, the best place in Capaville is Ramirez Restaurant.”

“Great. We’ll eat there.” Margaret made decisions fast.

She was always sharp and decisive-no matter what it was, she made up her mind in a split second.

Rickie’s face fell. “Uh, that’s a problem. Ramirez Restaurant is run by Tony Guyette-the legendary chef. There’s only one in the whole city. Even if you’re loaded, you need to book a week in advance.”

Margaret frowned in confusion and double-checked, “Did you say Tony Guyette?”

Rickie nodded. “Yeah. He’s the best chef in Karemin-total legend.”

A playful smile flickered across Margaret’s pretty face. “I need to make a call.”

She pulled out her phone and dialed a number. Her voice was soft-Rickie couldn’t catch what she said. A minute later, she hung up.

She then turned to Rickie and said calmly, “Let’s go. It’s sorted.”

Rickie tagged along after her to the eatery, totally out of his depth.

He was still scratching his head over everything when the restaurant manager greeted them politely and led them in.

By the time they sat down in a private room, Rickie still couldn’t wrap his head around it.

What kind of big shot is she?

“Boss, do you know the owner?” he blurted. “How’d you get a table with just one call?”

Ramirez Restaurant was one of a kind. It was run by the legendary chef.

Tony was super stubborn. Even royalty had to book a table first. No exceptions, no favors.

Margaret ordered a steak. She answered casually, “Tony is kinda my student.” Her tone was light, like she was talking about the weather.

Rickie froze. That has to be a joke. The world-famous chef is her student? Impossible!

Seeing his face full of disbelief, Margaret didn’t bother explaining. She didn’t care if he believed her or not.

Their food arrived soon.

Half an hour later, they finished their meal.

Rickie waved the waiter over, eager to pay. “Check, please.”

He couldn’t pull strings to get a table like Margaret-she was basically magic-but he sure as hell could
