(Alaric’s POV)
’What? Strangers~ ... STRANGERS~ ...? Huhh, we are strangers? Haha~ .... What a ridiculous load of an excuse,’ I was set off beyond measure by her choice of words.
She doesn’t tell her real name to strangers? That’s what she said, and the next second~ .... she smiles at an unknown person, tells him her name freely, though it is her first time meeting him, and even takes his pass without hesitation, hahh. So much for showing off. How utterly laughable. GOOD, VERY GOOD.
Ever since I laid eyes on her from the stage, she has been giving me one reason after another to piss me off. She is seriously getting on my nerves, SERIOUSLY. ’Trying to act all polite and detached towards me. Meanwhile, cozying up to that bratty Prof. Fabian Stephens.’ I raked a hand through my neatly made up hair. My head was about to burst.
And those fucking gossipmongers~ .... spouting absolute nonsense about her and that Fu~cki~an. Doing character assassination. Where does her usual bravado fly off to when she hears these kinds of words? Huhh? She always used to confront me. Cut me off and say her piece of mind, but now~ ... she is letting all of them talk like that and being nonchalant about that.
There was so much going on inside my brain that each of my cells was murmuring something funny. To cool off my mind, I left her by the door, marched inside the library and started looking around.
’Al, are you suffering from bipolar disorder? Or do you have a new wolf that is residing inside you without my knowledge, thinking all this? What’s going on?’ Alex’s teasing voice echoed inside my head.
I ignored his biting remarks. If I say something to him right now, it would only add fuel to the fire. He won’t stop blabbering about that mate and stuff.
Walking to the far end of the section, I started searching for a book, any book to keep me and my thoughts busy. I skimmed through the shelves, but most of the books, I have already read them. I knew all of their content by heart.
’Huhh, what a shit load in the name of a private library? They don’t even have half the books they should have. Useless. What’s even good about this place? I don’t get it. Anyways~ .... I need to find something resourceful here to keep my thoughts at bay.’
I resumed my search once again. As I was about to make a turn, my eyes landed on a book placed on the top shelf. I was just about to take a step forward, but just then I saw a small, familiar figure walking from the opposite direction. My entire body froze in place, almost instinctively. I don’t know why. It has to be Alex.
’What did I do?’ Alex’s voice chimed in.
’You know exactly what I am talking about,’ I told him off and blocked him once again.
From a secluded corner, I watched her glance at the same book I had set my eyes on earlier. Her hazel orbs were gleaming with rare elation. I had only seen this look on her when she was in Kimberg with~ ... with Nora.
The thought of my sister with her filled me with strange sadness. But that feeling didn’t last long as, out of the blue, she started looking around. I concealed my presence immediately. Her brows creased slightly as a frown formed on her face, and her cheeks puffed up.
The next second, she did something totally unexpected. I watched her jumping and hopping like a frog. She was trying to do her absolute best to reach it, but couldn’t. I couldn’t help but chuckle at the humorous display.
’Did she so desperately want to have that book? Even if it was not her cup of tea. How adorable.’
Huhh? Adorable? What the fuck? What adorable? She~ .... No way. No way in hell, heaven or earth. Alex must be out of his mind to plant such words in my head. ’Alex, can you back out now?’ I warned him.
’You seriously need help, Al,’ he commented. I ignored him once again.
Seeing her struggle, a light bulb lit up in my head, as I smirked. ’If she wants that so badly. Let’s help her with it.’
I walked out of the shadows confidently. Now she was stretching her hand with full capacity to get it, standing on her toes. As her hand touched the edge of the book, I walked behind her, closing in the distance, confining her. Our bodies were pressed closely, as I sniffed to take in her scent, I was greeted by that damn perfume on her, which was concealing her natural, flowery, citrus like scent. Why is she even wearing such a tacky fragrance on? Distasteful.
Feeling something off, Alaric immediately let go of the book and tried to hold Myra. But in an attempt to save herself from a ghastly fall, Myra reached for the first thing she could grab as her hand landed on his inner thigh.
Alaric was caught off guard by the sudden, uninvited touch. The heating instantly rushing to his sensitive area. In the blink of an eye, the two of them tumbled together.
Myra closed her eyes tightly, bracing herself, but nothing happened. She peeked an eye and saw her lying down on the floor, pinned down beneath Alaric.
His one hand was beneath her head, protecting it, while the other was holding her waist in a securing embrace. She was startled by their posture but more by the intensity of Alaric’s gaze. He was boring his eyes right into hers. There was something unspeakable oozing out of them, desire, disdain or desperation, Myra wasn’t aware.
As Myra tried to breathe, her breath fanned on Alaric’s nose and lips. The guy was already feeling tortured. His pants covered the shaft area, were pressing against her clothed vagina. Her laboured, uneven breaths only set his deep desire on fire as he gulped down, his Adam’s apple wobbling erratically. Both of their heartbeats were thumping up and crashing down sporadically. The palpitations could be felt by one another because of their intimate position.
Feeling suffocated, Myra tried to get up, but it only made her lower part grind on Alaric’s. With a ragged breath, he said, "Do~n’t~ .... Don’t~ mo~ve. Sta~y .... *huff* stay in place." This close proximity had set a fire inside Alex’s heart as well. He has been craving this. But Alaric was restraining him somehow.
In that instant, Myra realized what was happening. Her lower, secret half felt the heat surging even after the barrier of clothes was between them. Her face turned pale. Trying to wiggle her way out, she again rubbed against his sensitive part, and a suppressed moan escaped Alaric’s mouth. That guy was on the verge of breaking free.
He hasn’t had intimacy for a long, long time. And this situation, this position, this person trapped right under him, was unlocking his deepest, darkest, hungry desires.
He was so close to forgetting his resolve and letting Alex overtake. But what happened the next second made his eyes fly open in shock.
