Mated To My Best Friend's Lycan Alpha Brothers novel Chapter 426

Chapter 426: A Strange Sensation

(Author’s POV)

’What is this? What is happening? Why do I feel so light, so free? As if~ .... As if I am not even injured in the first place.’ She couldn’t help but think like this as the discomfort subsided.

At some point, she voluntarily gave in and let him do whatever he was doing. Dion felt her willingness, and a smile appeared on his lips. Not his signature, flirtatious one, but a genuinely heartwarming smile. A one that could melt even a giant ice sculpture on a snowy day.

After another five seconds staying like this, he withdrew his head and gazed at Myra, asking the same question, "How are you feeling .... now?"

This time, the answer came out unfeigned, real, "A lot better. Thank you, Dion."

Dion’s eyes flickered as his face lit up. His golden greens crinkled, giving him a carefree, childlike appearance. For a second, Myra couldn’t help but admire him, ’Wow, how can someone look so ethereal?’ But she shook her and quickly pushed that thought aside. ’What are you thinking, Myra? He must have definitely used his powers and done something to my head.’

Dion was reluctant to let her go, but he had, and he did.

Wendy, who has been watching from the sidelines, was bewildered by his impromptu actions. In her eyes, her sister and Dion weren’t close at all. They have only met twice prior to today’s meeting. Once outside the restaurant, which cannot even be considered a meeting. And the other was when they were attending the same arts class. So, why was Dion behaving so intimately towards Myra?

Her thoughts were like an open book. Anybody could tell by the look on her face what she was thinking. Dion chuckled and explained, "It is a custom to greet a patient like this in our family. This can help in speedy recovery."

Wendy, whose brows were creased, flattened a little as she nodded.

However, she didn’t quite understand. After all, neither Alaric nor Elio greeted Myra in that manner. After thinking hard for a while, she came to a realisation. Dion’s eyes kept lingering towards Myra, every now and then. This made the light bulb in her head suddenly illuminate, ’Ahhaaa~ .... so that’s what it is. Hehe~ .... How cuteeeee~ ...’ A sheepish grin formed on her lips as if she had solved a difficult puzzle.

Elio advanced in their direction. He stood beside Dion. He could tell by his brothers’ reaction and how Wendy addressed Dion earlier that he and Alaric already knew about Myra and her family being in Esteria.

’They both knew and didn’t even mention anything? How could they do this? How could they?’ He felt betrayed, so stupid, but this wasn’t the time to speak up his mind. He was finally in Myra’s presence after so long, he didn’t wanted to taint it with any kind of argument. Other things can wait, but this was a precious moment for him.

"Ms. Miracle~ ...." Alaric’s voice echoed, catching everyone’s attention.

He had been way too quiet, so nobody thought he would speak up. His tone was aloof as he said, "Who~ .... Who did this to you? How did you get such~ .... injuries?"

Myra only shook her head. With a detached tone, she replied, "Nothing like that, Wends. Ummm~ .... Can you get me some porridge? I am a bit hungry," She asked.

Wendy recalled Sandra’s words to take care of Myra. Feeling the tension between Alaric and Myra, she was hesitant to go, but Myra pushed her, "Please~ ...." So, she immediately said, "I will go and get it for you. Anything else, sis."

Myra shook her head as Wendy walked out.

Now with Wendy out, Myra was left with the three Lycan brothers. Her eyes landed on them one by one. She opened her mouth, then closed it, repeating this action two to three times.

"Speak your mind, Myra~ ....," Elio encouraged her, seeing her uneasiness.

Getting the green signal, she took a deep breath and started, "I really appreciate that you all came to see me despite being so busy with your schedules." Her eyes landed on Elio and flickered as she turned her head around. ".... I would appreciate it even more if you could~ .... *ahem* .... If you could keep the past a secret and not reveal it in front of my parents or sister. They don’t know about anything." She requested.
