Consul Bennett's voice choked with emotion.
His eyes were red, his voice trembling.
He truly ached for those kids representing Elyndor on the battlefield of academia.
His words caused the atmosphere in the conference room to grow heavy once more.
Everyone fell silent.
This was exactly the root of their previous anger.
Yes. The greater good mattered.
But behind the greater good were thirty-five Elyndorian youths, full of pure passion, traveling to a foreign land to win glory for their country.
Ambassador Sterling looked at their somber expressions and suddenly laughed.
He shook his head, his gaze sweeping slowly over the crowd before asking, "Then what do you all think of the Captain of the Elyndor delegation, Serena Lancaster?"
The executives were momentarily stunned.
Quickly, someone spoke up. "Is there even a question? Serena's abilities are exceptional, and her quick thinking is staggering."
"Her temperament, her vision, her ability to control the room—she's top-tier. It goes far beyond what someone her age should be capable of."
"If it hadn't been for her at the opening ceremony, Elyndor really would have fallen victim to Severia's schemes."
Another chimed in with continuous praise. "Serena perfectly embodied Elyndor's grace and absolute dominance. Standing out there, it wasn't even a competition for her—she was single-handedly holding up Elyndor's dignity."
For a moment, the conference room was filled with nothing but praise for Serena.
Ambassador Sterling listened and slowly nodded.
He looked up at the replay of the opening ceremony on the screen. He watched the slender, graceful girl standing perfectly straight, holding off all of Severia with the presence of an entire army.
