The corridor leading to the VIP suites was terrifyingly quiet.
But as she approached the final room—Special Envoy Mordecai's suite.
Crash!
Even before she reached the door, the sounds of brutal combat echoed into the hall.
The two heavy doors of the suite had already been completely pulverized by Jerrick.
Dull, sickening thuds of physical blows and beast-like roars continuously spilled out from inside.
The massive walls seemed to shudder with every impact.
Serena stopped at the doorway, lazily lifting her gaze to look inside.
The suite was an absolute warzone.
The sofas were overturned, the coffee table was shattered into dust, broken glass carpeted the floor, and the walls were covered in deep, spiderwebbing craters.
Jerrick and Jasper were locked in a vicious, relentless brawl with the fully mutated Mordecai.
Or rather...
He could no longer be called "Mordecai."
The mutation had caused his body mass to double in size.
But his current state was nothing short of pathetic.
He was practically being dismantled by the two brothers.
One of his arms had been violently snapped by Jerrick, bending backward at a horrific, unnatural angle.
His shoulder blades were grotesquely dislocated.
Half of his chest cavity was completely caved in, his leg bones shattered and warped. He looked like a mangled pile of meat rather than anything remotely human.
He looked exactly like a monstrous action figure that had been smashed to pieces and hastily glued back together.
And yet, he was still moving.
He felt no fatigue, no pain.
Even with his body utterly destroyed, he used that broken, twisted frame to continuously lunge at Jerrick and Jasper, roaring wildly.
It was bizarre and completely sickening.
"Fuck, is this thing immortal?" Jasper slammed the butt of his gun into the monster's spine, the impact sending a numb shock through his hands, his expression turning downright murderous.
