The shattered pieces of the terminal on the floor seemed to mock his pathetic situation. The Raven clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms until it ached. Slowly, he dragged his gaze back to the massive monitor on the wall. The auction price was still climbing violently. [Thirty-eight billion.] [Thirty-nine billion.] [Forty billion.] The numbers were moving at a terrifying speed. He stared at the screen for a few seconds, the veins in his forehead throbbing as his complexion turned a sickly, furious gray. Another agonizing silence stretched out. Watching the bid casually soar past forty-six billion dollars, he finally snapped his head up toward the security camera. Grinding his teeth, he forced the words out. "Bring me another terminal." The room remained dead silent. The red indicator light on the camera was clearly on. The chaotic sounds of the auction floor continued to blast through the speakers. Yet, The Commodore, who had just been speaking to him, offered absolutely zero response. The Raven curled his fingers into tight fists, took a deep breath, and growled, "I said, bring me another bidding device!" Still nothing. A suffocating wave of pure humiliation crashed over him as he realized he was deliberately being ignored. When had he ever been treated like a stray dog? He knew The Commodore could hear him. The man was probably sitting comfortably behind the monitor, watching him unravel. The silence was intentional. The Commodore was waiting. Waiting for The Raven to abandon his pride, throw his dignity on the floor, and stomp it into dust. The Raven stood frozen, his face flushing with a dark, furious red. It was absolute degradation. On the screen, the price ticked up again. [Forty-nine billion.] The buyers wouldn't wait for him. The predators circling AWS-14 didn't care if he swallowed his pride or not. He squeezed his eyes shut. When he opened them again, the murderous intent in his gaze was palpable. He turned around and marched toward the door. Bang. He slammed his fist against the heavy metal. The guard's polite voice immediately responded from the other side. "My Lord Raven, how can I assist you?" The tone was perfectly professional. Yet to The Raven, every syllable felt like a backhand across the face. He tightened his jaw. "A bidding terminal." A brief silence followed. Then, the electronic lock beeped. The door swung open, and the guard stood in the hallway. The man glanced at The Raven, then let his eyes trail over to the smashed electronics scattered across the floor. He paused. Though his face remained completely neutral, his words carried an undeniable edge of mockery. "My Lord Raven, didn't you explicitly state that you had no intention of bidding on AWS-14?" The Raven felt his blood boil. The guard's face was completely unbothered, as if he were genuinely just confirming a VIP's request. In that instant, The Raven's expression turned pitch black, the veins in his hands bulging. He looked ready to reach out and snap the guard's neck. But he couldn't. This was Project Zero-Transit. The hallway was crawling with heavily armed crew members. And right now, he was nothing more than a caged prisoner whose entire network had been wiped out. He had no choice but to swallow the insult. Staring intensely at the man, The Raven kept his face rigid and forced the words through his teeth. "I said, bring me a new bidding terminal. Right now!" The command was laced with the raw fury of a humiliated man. The guard held his gaze for two seconds before offering a faint, dismissive smile. "Right away, My Lord Raven."
