Messing With Her? Are You Crazy! novel Chapter 1826

Serena's breathing grew ragged as their lips moved together in a desperate, tangled rhythm. She pressed a hand against Nicholas's chest, her fingers curling tight into the crisp fabric of his shirt.

Nicholas trailed searing kisses down the corner of her mouth, his lips brushing against her sharp jawline.

"Nicholas," Serena murmured, tilting her head with a breathless laugh. "The crew is still waiting for me."

He lingered against the crook of her neck for a heartbeat longer before lifting his gaze. A predatory heat still swirled in his dark eyes.

His thumb slowly traced her flushed bottom lip. "Once we dock at Whitecliffe Harbor, find me immediately."

Serena playfully nipped at his fingertip. "We'll see."

Nicholas narrowed his eyes, a flicker of sheer possessiveness flashing through them, but she had already slipped out of his embrace.

She smoothed down her tousled hair and reached up to straighten his rumpled collar.

Tilting her head, she pressed a quick, appeasing kiss to his lips. "Alright, alright, I know. As soon as I reel in our catch, I'll come straight to my darling patron."

Nicholas let his fingers trail warmly across her palm, his voice still incredibly husky. "Remember your promise. If you keep me waiting too long... I'll be collecting everything you owe me with interest."

His hot breath fanned her ear.

Serena arched an eyebrow, offering a fearless, radiant smile. "Deal."

With a casual wave, she turned on her heel and headed toward the quarantine zone, her stilettos clicking sharply against the deck.

The ocean breeze whipped her long hair and the hem of her dress wildly around her.

Nicholas stood rooted to the spot, watching her retreating figure until his indulgent smile completely vanished.

The seductive warmth in his eyes was instantly replaced by a cold, predatory shadow.
