Brianna looked down at the spineless man crying at her feet.
Then she glanced at the looping security footage on the screen.
The video showed Brandon's vicious expression after he tampered with the Ghost.
The last of Brianna's romanticized image of him shattered, leaving only disgust.
"Get lost!"
Brianna kicked Brandon in the shoulder. "What we used to have? You have the nerve to bring that up?"
After kicking him to the ground, she still wasn't satisfied and landed a few more kicks. "When you went after my friend Serena, did you even think about the consequences? You wanted to kill her just because of a few words? How can you be so vicious? So twisted?"
"Let me tell you, letting you rot in jail would be getting off easy! I'll make your life a living hell in there!"
The thought that Brandon's tampering with Serena's Ghost could have caused a serious accident on the track sent a wave of fear through Brianna.
It only made her want to beat him to death to avenge Serena!
Just then, the sound of sirens grew closer.
Several police cars pulled up to the side of the venue.
A place like this operated in a legal gray area.
The sight of police arriving was somewhat comical.
Especially since... a crash had just occurred.
But Brian swaggered over and exchanged a few words with them.
In the end...
Everyone tacitly agreed not to mention the recent crash.
Brandon and Lauren were pushed onto the track by the officers, who personally supervised them as they humiliatingly knelt their way along the track, fulfilling the terms of their bet.
Listening to the repeated shouts of "Brianna is my goddess!"
Serena narrowed her clear eyes and looked at Brianna.
Before she could speak.
Brianna obediently let go of her arm, her bright eyes filled with a smile. "Serena, you go ahead and handle your business. I'll go talk with my brother for a bit."
Serena watched her skip over to Nicholas's side, then walked to a different area with Brian.
"Serena, that 'Silver Ghost'... something's not right," Brian said in a low voice. "I pulled the earlier surveillance footage from the maintenance area. Silver Ghost got close to the Ghost, too. Although the video doesn't show him doing anything, the way he looked at the Ghost... it was off."
As he spoke, he opened his palm to Serena. "My guys found this in his wrecked car when they were cleaning up the scene."
Serena looked down.
In Brian's palm was a pin engraved with a strange snake-like pattern, bearing the flag of Norvane.
"As soon as I found this, I had someone start looking into it."
"This is the insignia of a notorious assassin organization from Norvane. That Silver Ghost... his identity is fake. He's not from Elyndor at all, he's from Norvane."
