Messing With Her? Are You Crazy! novel Chapter 248

Old Mr. Blackwood, Brianna, and Patton all whipped their heads around to look at Nicholas.

Their eyes were wide with disbelief.

"What?!"

"The Ghost Doctor?!"

The legendary Ghost Doctor—who could supposedly bring people back from the brink of death, was mysterious and eccentric, and whose medicine was worth a fortune—was Serena?!

But on second thought, it made sense.

Serena had only recently been brought back to the Lancaster family.

To have stockpiled so many of these rare Heartguard Pills and Vitality Elixirs would have cost tens of millions.

Why would a young woman like Serena spend so much money on these pills?

Besides, in all of Elyndor, there were only a dozen or so in circulation on the market.

For Serena to be able to produce so many at once, and even offer to formulate a new pill specifically for Old Mr. Blackwood's condition…

Only the Ghost Doctor could do something like that.

Once they connected the dots, the way Old Mr. Blackwood and Brianna looked at Nicholas was no longer simple disdain.

It had escalated to soul-searching questions like, "You're a toad trying to eat a swan?" and "What makes you think you're worthy?"

Old Mr. Blackwood was heartbroken, pointing at Nicholas and slapping his thigh dramatically. "See! Look! What did I tell you! This kid is not good enough for Serena! And he still dreams of pursuing her? You're a toad trying to eat a swan!"

He felt that even thinking of Serena as his future granddaughter-in-law was an insult to her!

The more he looked, the more he felt his worthless grandson was utterly unworthy of Serena.

Brianna propped up her chin and chimed in, "Exactly! Nicholas, besides being handsome, what else about you is worthy of Serena?"

Then, her face scrunched up, her brows knitting together. "But I still want Serena to be my sister-in-law, ugh, what do I do!"

As she spoke, she glared at Nicholas again. "It's all your fault for not being more impressive! Ahhh!"

Nicholas was speechless.

He looked at his family, who seemed ready to pack him up and throw him out of the house.

He couldn't help but touch his face.

Wasn't being handsome an advantage?
