"Serena, look at yourself!" Benedict’s expression shifted. "You’re full of hostility, utterly crass!"
His frown deepened. "The Wynn family owes you nothing. It is you who owes the Wynn family! You owe Hailey! Acting like this will only make people despise you more. It's counterproductive."
"Mom was right. You seduced Adrian, which led to the bet and caused the Cole family to go a hundred million dollars into debt! This whole mess started because of you."
"I've decided. You will arrange a meeting with Mr. Blackwood. Have him give the Wynn Group a few core projects and tell the Peis and the Barnes family to just forget about the racing bet!"
Serena couldn't help but laugh at Benedict's shamelessness.
"You've decided?"
She laughed out loud, her eyes dripping with mockery as she looked at him. "Benedict, who the hell do you think you are to make decisions for me?"
"On what authority? Your company that’s on the verge of bankruptcy? Or that pathetic display you just made when that exec, Taylor, tossed you aside like garbage? You're a nobody, and you have the nerve to put on airs?"
"Hah, asking me to bring Nicholas out… I can hear your gears turning from a mile away. When it comes to hypocrisy, the Wynn family really takes the cake."
Serena truly hadn't realized before how self-important the Wynns were.
They were like a bunch of clowns.
With a soft sneer, Serena’s cold, bright eyes fell on Benedict. Her tone was glacial and dripping with irony. "The Wynn family owes me nothing? What gives you the right to say that?"
"And another thing—I seduced Adrian?" Serena's sneer deepened. "He’s a piece of shit. Do you really think he’s worthy of my attention? Only your dear sister could mistake a turd for a treasure."
"You… you!" Benedict’s face turned ashen, his expression ugly.
He never imagined that the once-timid Serena, who had always tried so hard to please him, would dare to mock him so openly in public.
A vein bulged on his forehead. "Serena, you’re being completely unreasonable!"
"Get out of my sight. You’re an eyesore." Serena coldly retracted her gaze, not bothering to look at them again as she walked straight toward the entrance of the Obsidian Palace.
"Ungrateful brat! You’re an ungrateful brat!" Marianne fumed, watching Serena's arrogant retreat.
Serena must have been faking it all those years!
