She had told her so many times.
This was Elyndor!
Don't bring those bad habits from the Gray Zone to Elyndor!
Kidnapping someone at the drop of a hat.
What if she kidnapped a stranger? Serena would have to clean up the mess!
It seemed she needed to find someone to teach Black Jack the rules of surviving in Elyndor.
Serena didn't pursue the topic. "Hurry up and leave. I'm tired, I need to rest."
Nicholas smiled and nodded. "What a coincidence. I'm tired too. I'd like to rest."
Serena said, "...Then leave."
Looking as if he had no bones in his body, impossibly devilish, Nicholas whined, "I've been busy all day. I'm so tired I can't even move~"
So he was planning to shamelessly stick around, was he?
Black Jack really was a genius!
Serena couldn't even be bothered to look at his peacocking. She reached out, intending to grab the man and throw him out.
But as soon as her hand moved…
The man's large hand closed around her wrist.
His palm was warm, his grip gentle.
The moment their skin touched, Serena's heart felt as if it had been lightly tickled by a feather.
She pressed her lips together. "Let go!"
"This is a bad habit of yours," the man said, sitting up and reaching out to flick a strand of her still-dripping hair.
He stood up and pulled the girl to sit on the edge of the bed.
Then, he turned and went into the bathroom, returning with a hairdryer.
He stood behind her. The hairdryer whirred to life, and warm air washed over Serena's hair.
The man's fingers threaded through her hair, his touch gentle.
Feeling the warm air envelop her and the man's gentle movements…
Serena's rosy lips pressed together again.
This man…
He really was shameless.
"Weren't you too tired to move? You seem to be moving just fine now," Serena grumbled over the hum of the hot air.
She lazily opened her eyes, only to find herself looking at Nicholas's trim waist.
His shirt was loose, but she could still see the faint outline of his toned muscles.
She looked up.
At some point, Nicholas had moved to stand in front of her and was leaning down, about to pick her up.
Seeing her eyes open…
His expression remained perfectly normal. He even curled his thin lips, his voice low and bewitching. "I thought you'd fallen asleep."
"So you were planning to take advantage of me?" Serena half-closed her bright eyes.
Nicholas chuckled. "I wish."
He leaned in, not stopping his movement even though the girl's eyes were open, and lifted her into his arms.
Serena was confused.
"I saw you were about to fall asleep, so I was going to put you in bed," Nicholas said with a smile.
Serena's confusion grew. But she was awake now, wasn't she?
"As the gift delivered to Serena, I have to fulfill my duties as a gift." Nicholas's low, tender laugh seemed to wrap around her eardrums. "If I'm going to serve you, I have to see it through to the end."
